Do you have a theme? Either the same feel as the wedding will have or something completely different. Also, will the shower be for a younger or older crowd? |

Themes are very popular now. I gave a Christmas ornament bridal shower year before last. It was what she wanted. So much Fun! Take a look @this site and think about the bride to be. Ask her what type gifts she would like most, especially if she is having more than one shower. Good Luck! http://www.beau-coup.com/bridal_shower_themes.htm |
Check out www.bridalshower.com They have lots of ideas for themes, favors, games, etc. My best friend is planning a shower for her roommate and she highly recommends this site! |
Do you have to give out party favors? The last shower I planned we ordered small candles from Yankee Candle and the label would say the date and the name of the person the shower is for. They have so many different scents to choose from! Do a wishing well...........those little gadgets are the best! |

a great game (not one of those dumb ones) is Bridal Shower Bingo. You make bingo cards (obsviously each one has to be different) and you fill it with gifts you think she will probably get and the first one to get Bingo wins a prize.. something for people to do when she is openeing gifts. A great theme is time of the day or room of the house. People are given a time or a room and have to buy accordingly! |
from what I have found lately, it is popular to have a "couples" shower, or a "honey-do" for the man... I threw a huge "couples" shower last year for my daughters best friend and we just had one big ole party... their theme was western and we used that as our theme for the shower too... it was very fun and so much less stress for everyone, no structure, just a good time for all! |

Im sorry, I just assumed everyone knew what that was! Its when everyone brings alittle something, like a spatula, wooden spoon, chip clips...........little kitchen items and gadgets. Small things but the things you really need! Some people actually rent a fabric "wishing well" to hold all of these items but others will get a kitchen bucket or basket and put all the items in that! Those items don't get wrapped! I know I have also been to a shower where they did a recipe exchange instead of the wishing well. Every guest brought there favorite recipe and gave it in the card so the new bride would have some yummy meals to make! |

so, do people traditionally not buy the gifts from the gift registry at a bridal shower? I just remember how my shower was and we got tons of gifts from our registry (and some GREAT   ones that were not on our registry) LOL sorry for my ignorance...I'm seriously a virgin at this LOL |
