Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Yep missed five of them. Turned out I have some thyroid problems and my whole system is off so it caused it. I couldn't be pregnant because my tubes are tied. Any other symptoms?

| I missed like 8 before and then had one for about 3.5 months straight. It was awful! Are you very active? Do you eat too little? That was the reason for my problems in the past (at least thats what we think).

| I have missed 5 months in a row....and another time missed 4 months... some times according to my doctor, it can be a few things why... your body thinks you are preggers (false pregnancy), sometimes it due to stress...and sometimes they just don't know... The first time I missed for 5 months, the doctors even thought I was preggers, the cervix was blue ( a sign of pregnancy) and told us congrats you are a little over 4 months...went for unltra sound...nothing...all tests came back negative health wise, all the doctor said was it happens....

| wow I have heard that stress can play a big role in late or missed periods but never happened to me. I have missed my period a total of three times in my life and their ages are 12, 6 and 7

| I missed mine for 4 months and before that for two months. Finally got it in the beginning of Feb but nothing since! I am currently being screened for early menopause - I was 8 when I got my period so that is what they are thinking!

| It's more common than you think to be late or miss one or two altogether in a year. If they are back to back-you should check with your doctor, but for one missed period I wouldn't worry too much (as long as you know you're not pregnant or ill). It could be a hormonal issue-like thyroid, or just stress if you've missed two in a row, so I wouldn't worry, but you should give you doctor a call. They may give you something to jump start your period and get you back on track. Charting your periods on a calendar or in a notebook might help you understand your body's unique patterns, so you may want to start that now even though you've missed. The first day of your period is cycle day one-just start and go from there. It seems like a pain to do-but after keeping track for 2 weeks, it's second nature. After a couple of months, you'll be able to tell a lot of things about yourself, and you'll become more in-tune with your body. I hope all is well with you Take care!
