I heard this is subtitled, is that true? Is it hard to watch a scary movie if you have to read the whole thing?

It is subtitled. I wasn't hard to watch except for the subtitles are in yellow and hard to see at some points.

Man, why couldn't have someone mentioned the subtitle thing BEFORE I rented it Friday night. I've been patiently waiting for it to come out and was so excited to finally rent it. Nowhere on the box does it say that's it's a Spanish movie with English subtitles (that I saw anyway). We were all settled in ready to watch it and sat through about 5 minutes thinking maybe it was just starting out in Spanish and would switch. ARGH! I don't really mind watching with subtitles but my hubby didn't want to watch it. I'm going to go sit down and watch it by myself right now. It better be good!

Wasn't it good! It was so suspenseful and I couldn't wait to see what happened cause at times i was so confused, but at the end it all made sense.

I didn't know it was in Spanish either until i started watching, but it's like Pan's Labyrinth. It's really good, atleast i thought I speak Spanish so I understood most, but I still read the subtitles cause their accent and pronunciations are way diff. , anyways yes they are distracting but still very good movie

hehe I like it in the movie theaters cause theres a lot of ppl and they get scared right along with you. At home i feel more scared, at the theater i just cover my ears or eyes

I thought it was so shocking when you found out what happened to the son. (Not a spoiler/I didnt say anything ).
Also, only a little distracting (subtitles) at first, and then you get into it and don't notice so much.

Well, I watched it yesterday. The subtitles really didn't bother me too much. I usually have the English subtitles on anyway because if not, I tend to miss parts of the talking (can we say hard of hearing??). BUT I've gotta say that I didn't think it was all that scary. I guess after all these years of watching horror films and reading tons of horror books, I must be desensitized to that kind of thing. It has to be really action-packed scary to get to me. When I was little I used to watch those creepy Alfred Hitchcock and Twilight Zone shows late at night and then have to watch a cartoon or something afterwards. I guess that may have dulled my senses to the horror genre. I did like the ending though with the son.

I should have rented One Missed Call instead..... it was a toss-up between those two. I have a feeling though that One Missed Call may be a little cheesy. Megan said it was good though, right??
