Looks Great Emily Ann Your makeup looks every bit as good as Bare Minerals - especially the squiggly nose and mouth lol. They are both looking equally as good. Is yours all natural minerals? I have extremely sensitive skin and untill I found B M I could only use a little teeny bit of blush and poder. Cookie |

Everyday Minerals Ingredients I will say though, I have very sensitive skin and I usually have allergic breakouts to everything I put on my face foundation/powder wise but with this it doesn't bother me and if anything it has cleared up what minimal acne I had. :) Hope this helps! |
I could have sworn that I saw a post somewhere in one of these threads that gave a less expensive alternative to the brushes. Anyone know?? I've just received a starter kit and the dinky little brush I got with it is making me crazy. lol! Also, any suggestions for reducing the mess? All of the powder everywhere? Overall, I'm loving it though! I usually have to wear the maximum coverage liquid foundations, but this covers really well and feels wonderfully light. |

Oh and about the powder everywhere, I haven't found anything to help... hopefully someone else will have something! |
I use the Sonia Kashuk brushes too - I alternate them with the BareMinerals brushes when I wash them. I actually think I like the SK better - they are softer. |
I just saw this thread. Anywho...I have been using BM for over 8 years now and trust me I hate that powder everywhere and I can't seem to control it either. You really can't see it until you wipe the counters/mirrors/tile in the bathroom.:( I used practically everything BM and love QVC for their deals on BM. Only thing I have that I am not using much of since my skin is so fair is their tanning lotion. I love it but it's so dark and I have to mix it with face cream. |
I been using BE for about 5 years now and I am totally happy. I do not wear lots of him and I am just happy with a bit of lip gloss and blush. I love the Lisa's Favorites package from QVC:thumbup: I happen to agree with Cyndi with the mess that it makes...I started using a tray (small one) It's been really helpful and all I have to do now it's remove the products and just wipe it clean. |
Thanks! That's what I needed to know about the brushes. :) Cool! The tray is a good idea for at least controlling the mess. :) Thank you. |
Minimizing the mess Hi Judy, I love my Bare Minerals but the mess was a real mess. I solved that problem by going to the $1 store and purchasing a turkey platter in yellow to match my room - lol!!! It holds all the mess AND I use what falls on the "make up platter" This one I bought has 4 little finger like holders on the edge and I use them to hold my eyeliner etc. So, for $1 I made out really well. hope this helps. I looooove BM!! I'm a huge fan! I love all the different eye shadows because I play around w/ them and mix and match. I usually wear a very light took for work (sometimes I don't even use mascara) but when hubby and I go out at night, then I dress it up a bit. LOOOVE BM!!! |
