Everytime I decide to have one, I regret it the night before.

Since this is sort of a 3 day wknd since most people have tomorrow off, I decided to have one so I could run it Friday and Saturday and make more money (hopefully).

Its dark and cold and I still don't have half the stuff out there!

I have 8 massive boxes of my nieces' old clothes that I need to sort through. They are 16 and 14 and did help set up some today, but they have school tomorrow.

And my yorkie/chi mix, Schatzie had surgery today. It was way worse than we thought it was going to be. Her incision is btwn 4 and 5 inches. I hope all the cars coming and going don't bother her too much this wknd.

Yikes!!! Sounds like you have a full plate. I hate having garage sales. Take all my things to a 2nd hand store. It's not worth getting my blood pressure up over trying to get ready and then putting up with all the rude people.

Get-well to your little Schatzie.

Thank you. Schatzie is doing a lot better than we thought she would act, but we are trying to keep her still so she doesn't irritate her incision.

Luckily most of the garage salers around here are pretty nice and polite, but my blood pressure shoots up when they get here 30 mins early and we aren't ready!

This will be my last sale for a long, long time. The HS has a huge sale every summer, so what isn't sold will be sent to them and the clothes to goodwill!

While I was at work for a bit tonight, mom said someone came by and wanted to look and we already made $5

So far I've made about $30ish, but we haven't had many visitors. The majority of the junk is my nieces- they brought 8 - 2ftx2ftx 2.5ftx boxes PACKED full to the brim of clothes. One box had over 50 shirts in it. I didn't even know they owned that much clothing

They were supposed to be here to help, but they have school today. Usually when we have one, a lot of their stuff sells,but not mine. But since they haven't been here today hardly any of there stuff has sold. It makes me think maybe ppl buy stuff from them cause they're young.

Good luck on their your sale.. if you do it again tomorrow and the young ones are there, maybe they will get it all sold....and you will get all your stuff sold too..

Good luck with your sale!!! I hope you sell lots of stuff, and make $ too! Maybe take Slade out there with you-he is adorable, and should draw attention to your sale. Just make sure to put a "not for sale" sign on him

Lol, he's been out most of the morning with me. He's really unsure about whats going on. He tries to jump out of my arms when we see ppl if we are out walking or if people come into our house, but he's really unsure about why all the junk is sitting outside and why ppl are here. He won't leave my arms.

Wow, we are getting TONS of people stoping by today. Really surprising since lots of people stopped yesterday too. I have met some of the neatest people. Today I met an old (like 80 something) guy that graduated from Auburn. Yesterday I met the coolest 94 yr old woman.
