First CD or Record You EVER Bought!! After reading the 'most embarrassing' cd thread, I was wondering if anyone remembered the first cd or record (depending on age) they ever purchased. Mine was a 45 rpm by Little Eva "Locomotion"(yes...I AM 100 years old  ) There was a remake of it kind of recently. Who can remember their first one?? ;) |
My first CD was Hanson. I was in the fifth grade. |
Man...I can't remember what I bought yesterday. Well, really I can. They were 2 cd's with Music Box Dancer for my daughter's wedding. All I know is that it was a 45. You could still by singles then. But then I am older than dirt. |
It was a 45rpm Beatles "do you want to know a secret", I still have it. |
Anyone remember the cardboard 45's ? |
First I ever bought with my own money was The Beatles...it was a 45 and on one side was Hey Jude and on the flip side ... I can't remember! I remember it had a green apple on the label...Apple Records I guess....crap that is gonna bug the stew out of me trying to remember what the other song was on the flip side! :D I googled it and it was Revolution...don't even remember that one...but I loved Hey Jude! |

My first album was John Travolta....I paid for it with my own money...I still have it...It still has the plastic wrapping on it....Where you slit the end so you can slide it in and out still.... My kids did not believe that John Travolta even made an album...haha Joyce |
Well, I actually have some Christmas 78's. But I didn't buy those. The first one I can remember is a 45 of the Rolling Stones "I Can't Get No Satisfaction". I had lots of Beatles and Beach Boys 45's (I had older brother and sister). I remember stacking so many 45's on my record player (as I sang in the mirror with my hairbrush as a microphone) that sometimes they would fall too many at a time. My first LP was the Partridge Family I am pretty sure. .... and I had Hey Jude/Revolution. Revolution Rocked. ;) I feel sooooooooo old, but I love these CD/45/LP/cassette (and 8-tracks for Judy) threads. I was telling my hubby about it tonight and we had a good time. And I really love the different ages of all of us. It makes it all the more fun. |
The first CD I ever bought was The Lion King soundtrack! I got it when I got my first cd player :) I wonder where that CD is now:confused: |
The first record I remember buying is the 45 rpm |
