Anyone own a Blackberry Phone???
 
I think I am going to be purchasing a Blackberry real soon...does anyone own one? I am thinking about getting the Blackberry Curve. To me the only down fall when I upgrade my phone to the Blackberry is that I have to pay around 34.00 more just for the service for the Blackberry on top of my monthly plan :rolleyes: Any suggestions about the Blackberry? Which one do you own?

I have the Pearl I like it. But it does freeze up a lot, and they say thats normal.. I have had to call techinal support on it a few times. My battery has started going bad, and I don;t browse the internet a lot either. The other downfall like you mention was the 34 dollars a month. So just think hard before you get it:) but it does get bigger pictures and you can get more text messages:D

I own the Blackberry Pearl with T-Mobile. I dearly love it. Mine has never froze up. I have not had one problem with it in the year that I have had it.

I have a Blackberry too! The 8700. I've had it for over a year now! and it works perfectly. I browse the web ALOT and also go on YT on it when I'm away from home. :) :thumbup:

I'm attached to it!

I have a blackberry and beware you will get very addicted to it. I blackberry message all the time since my husband has one too:)

I got the Curve for Christmas and LOVE it! I have had no problems with it - but I've only had it for not quite 3 months:) I, too, hate the "Blackberrry Fee" but - it gave me more text (and with 2 teenagers who love to let their fingers do the talking, I'm glad I have it) and access to web.

I have the blackberry pearl and i really like it, but there are some draw backs.
i cannot receive pictures only emails and then like others have said the extra monthly fee. other than that i love it! i can do sooo much on it!!!

it depends on what company you're with, i've heard the tmobile one works awesome...
i had a pearl, with at&t and it gave me nothing but trouble, if you don't get the blackberry plan, you will not be able to use a lot of features on the phone, i also remember that i couldnt send pics or bluetooth things to other phones, i was told i could only do those things with other blackberries bc of the format the files are in... i didn't take their word for it, but it was too much of a hassle to get answers from anyone else, the T mobile one i've heard doesn't have those problems... i returned mine and got an htc 8125 and i'm happy with it

I saw the HTC phones...is that a new brand of phones?

i think it's fairly recent

i personally have not had any problems with my htc, and it's an older model... it's like the grandfather of the "tilt" (by htc) distributed by AT&T

I have the 8830 world eddition and its awesome! never had a single glitch! I switched to the pink pearl and nothing but freezing issues! I am so glad that I never sold my 8830! I reactivated it and am happy as a clam!

The extra fee??? What carrier are you guys with??? Verizon does not have an extra Black Berry fee???

The only extra fee I pay is for the internet, but ANY PHONE you want to have internet access on witll require you pay extra for access....

Plus with Verizon I have Kick ass service! Costs a bit more, but I have yet to travel somewhere and not have service! I have had them forever now. Since before they were verizon... I can't even remember the name of the company I was with when they bought them out... But its been forever! 9 or ten years now.

I have a Curve and love it. I would say to find a nice case for it so it doesn't get scratched when dropped, I want the red one now, but I'm stuck with my grey one. I think you will love it because it has a full keyboard and thin. It fits easily in my hand, takes great pictures, and I get all my e-mail like a good smart phone should. Good luck!

The extra fee for verizon is the 35 for the internet plus your plan.

I have the Blackberry Pearl the Pink one that Verizon has. I love it! I go on the net all the time. The only problem I've had with it, is sometimes it erases my text messages but thats about it. Other than that I love my phone. I have the blackberry messenger but I dont' know of anyone else that has it. So if you get one let me know so we can talk! LOL!:p
