The only extra fee I pay is for the internet, but ANY PHONE you want to have internet access on witll require you pay extra for access....

Plus with Verizon I have Kick ass service! Costs a bit more, but I have yet to travel somewhere and not have service! I have had them forever now. Since before they were verizon... I can't even remember the name of the company I was with when they bought them out... But its been forever! 9 or ten years now.
att requires that you sign up for their blackberry plan and that is 40 a month... doesn't include txt or anything i think it's just the internet and blackberry service for something or other... it also does not send pics (with or without the service) the phone with att does not have the same features as with the other companies... i was very unhappy... i loved the phone, but it doesn't have the same things as say with tmobile or verizon...

Thank you so much for the comments you guys.....I am hoping to purchase my BlackBerry Curve REALLLLLL SOON!! So everyone that has the Blackberrys I would love to do the Instant message with the phone because only one of my friends has a blackberry out here LOL.....Who knows I may just go purchase it tomorrow :D

Ohhhh and by the way my friend came over a few days ago and had the IPHONE........talk about AWESOME!!! But I think I will stick to the Blackberry for now the IPHONE is way more expensive :rolleyes:

Right... But its not a "blackberry " fee... its an internet acess fee... any phone that you would use to access the internet on would require you to pay extra... Its the cost of being able to brouse the internet, recieve and send emails and chat from your phone! I for one LOVE it! It helps me keep ontop of everything! I do alot of Booster work and being able to respond to time sensitive things is a must! :thumbup:

Well worth the extra $ IF you use it.. But only if you actually use it... Otherwise its way too much phone for most people... Its not even a phone.. its really a business tool honestly.

I have the 8830 and love it. A friend told me ( he has the pearl) that you are supposed to turn it off for like 5 min a day. I guess it resets thiings and is supposed to stop the freezing issue. I have never had it so I am not familiar with that. I pay 40/mo for the internet access. So i always have YT at my fingertips!! :D

If I find a new phone, use my current sim card......and add text, or blackberry service, does that change my contract date????

I got a new phone last year, due to 3 refurbished phones being a piece of crap....and THEY changed the end date of my contract WITHOUT my approval......I cannot stand ATT.....ljdflkjlsfalsfjl.....sorry...it still makes me angry.....

So, I may change my carrier before the end of my contract.....but if I dont, I do need a new phone....and in order to get the kind I want, I will buy a phone off of EBAy so as to ensure that my contract stays the same.....

But, what if I add text, or blackberry service??? Will that change the contract date???

Anyone know for sure?????????????????????

If you get a phone off of eBay they are not going to change your contract.

As far as adding the BB service don't know the answer to that but if you want to add text they are not going to change your contract.
