Does anybody know the price range for a Mi-Ki puppy? I WANT one, but I don't NEED one, so somebody please tell me how ridiculously expensive they are:p

I looked at them last year! they are expensive- not a lot of them either! A lady in Decatur, ILL has some seems to me they were like 3-4000!!She had a really good line
They are the cutest! I just love the pictures- I have never seen one- just pictures!!

That price sounds about right. I haven't seen one, either, but I WANT one!! There is no way I would pay that much for a dog. Now if I can just quit thinking about it :confuse2:

I think they are just SO adorable and they have amazing personalities. I did a lot of research into prices and such a few years ago, but I don't really remember now. One of the professors at my college has three Mi-ki's and when I last talked to her she was considering breeding them. I haven't talked to her in a while so I don't know if she did or not. Now I'm curious. I think I might go email her now. Lol!

Email her and please HURRY!! Does she say they are totally wonderful? Oh, DON'T tell me:yelrotflm I think it is the rave reviews on their personality that is getting to me! Did you post some pics of her dogs on here one time?

They were all three wonderful, sweet, affectionate dogs. Playful, but calm at the same time. Very smart. If I ever had another breed besides Yorkie, it would be a Mi-ki.

I bought a new dog magazine last week and just seen that breed of dog...they are CUTE!! I had never heard of them before.

There is a Pet Expo every year and they have a booth with the MiKi's. I have talked to the club members and petted their MI Ki's. They all look different due to the 2 or 3 breeds that are used. They are cute and all were very friendly. I know a few years ago I asked about the price and they started at 3000. The Pet Expo is this weekend if I go I will look for them and get their brochure.

Here in Florida where I stay this lady sells them for 2500 and they are soo adorable.

Oops, sorry! :D

I think you're right. They would make wonderful therapy dogs. They have the perfect laid back, sweet, and cuddly personality!

Have you seen a lot of the different colors yet? They all look so different!

I've looked at every bit of info that I can search! They are all so cute and different, it would be hard to decide! I know this is silly, but I almost feel like a traitor to Boomer! He's asleep in the crook of my arm (makes it kinda hard to type lol) being a sweetheart, and all I can think about is getting another dog:eek:

We almost got one years ago when we first "met" one and fell head over heels in love with him and then the breed. But they were very new in the US and there weren't any reputable breeds closer than Florida. Be careful and get LOTS of references on any Mi-Ki breeders. Maybe it's not so bad now, but at the time there were LOTS of breeders accused of passing off other cross breeds as Mi-Ki's (a couple in Illinois). We still would like one in the future!!

Are you interested in the long hair or short hai? - They look completely different.

Every Mi-Ki I've seen looks so different. Isn't a breed supposed to be consistent? They all look like different mixed breed dogs to me..just my opinion

Just thinking out loud here...Every breed began somewhere at some time, right? Well, what if this is just the beginning of a breed that, in years to come, will be as common and loved as the well known breeds that we have now? I don't like designer dogs, but I really don't feel the Mi-Ki falls into that category. Of course I could be wrong..it's happened a time or two before:p Anyway, I would never pay such a ridiculous price for ANY dog.

you're right..they all started somewhere. I haven't read alot about the Mi-Kis but I'm assuming whoever started creating them had a goal in mind about look, personality, etc. I would just want to see consistency before I'd consider buying one.

they are cute..you are going to find a lot of different looks in them, but, I also see a lot of different looks in yorkies

Ditto that. I wouldn't buy a MiKi unless I knew what it would look like full grown, especially for that kind of money.

Is the Mi-chi and the Mi-Ki different? I have seen the Mi-Chi's and they are really really cute...little...etc. But the Mi-Ki's look different...I'm confused.

Are these new dog breeds by AKC?

no, Mi-ki's are not recognized by AKC. They may be in some of those other registries...The ARBA allows them to show in the misc. class
