CONGRATS, again, on a very successful show! :rose::rose::rose::rose: |
Wow, is that a soundtrack or what? You guys sound great. I would harass you for more vids, but I'll be happy with what I have until your life slows down. That was great. |
I was playing your video and hubby asked what Broadway play that was from ? When I explained that it was your High School musical he didn't believe me and I had to show him ..... :) Thank you for sharing this and thank whoever took the video .... Great job! |
you did good!! Keep up the very good work!:bravo: sounds like you are such a wonderful young lady- and a great role model for young people everwhere!! Another YT'er who is very proud of you!! Very, very, good job!!!!!:bravo: :bravo: :bravo: |
Hi everyone, megan's mom here. That show was just incredible! No soundtrack....that is how they sounded. And, they did the show with an orchestra made up of alumni from the HS. We were able to download the video to this computer but now can't get the computer to play them. And, stupid me, when I taped it I made them too long to load to photobucket. I'm going to the show again tonight and will tape short, one minute videos so we can show you what an amazing show it is! |
Hey guys! My mom took about 14 awesome videos last night. They take FOREVER to load onto photobucket, but I have a few hours...so I'm doing that now. :D:D:D The show was incredible last night. It was the best we've done. After the show was the cast party at one of the cast members' house. It was WAYYY too much fun. Every year, they do this thing called the "paper plate awards" and they are what they sound like. The seniors make them for the entire cast, and the juniors make them for the seniors. They take paper plates, and make awards based on something that has happened or whatever. I got the "Best Wipe Out" award. One time at rehearsal, we were practicing Belle. I had on socks (it was the Alaska socks you sent me, Mike!) and the baker (my "hubby" :p) said "Marie, the bigets, hurry up!" and I took one step to run after him and I was on my face. It was HYSTERICAL, and Kristina said she knew when I got up and laughed at myself that I'd get that award. :p The awards were hysterical. I'll give you a few examples. This one kid, Dalton, in the opening scene would "stage talk" with us, but he'd talk about the most random things. So when we'd call him on it, he'd say "its comic relief" and it really wasn't funny at all lol. So he got the "We know it's comic relief, but shut the hell up" award. Another one was my friends Alex and Chris, every day they would come into the rehearsal 5 minutes late, from the hallway. usually this award goes to like the "couple" of the cast, but since they were close enough they got the "what the HELL are you doing in the hallway?" award. Peter (Gaston) got the "Not a bad part for a freshman" award. My friend Emily got the "I'm a tap dancer, get me out of this kick line/Yellow is not my color" award. and during the award ceramony, one of our directors went FLYING up the stairs and all we heard was "Is the baby coming?" now..our director is into her 50s...so we were kinda like "uhhh...." and then we found out that her son and daughter-in-law were in the hospital in labor with her Grandson! :D So she was gone in the blink of an eye lol. Then we watched Beauty and the Beast the Disney movie, which was too fun to watch with the cast. Not only did everyone sing their parts (and TOTALLY show up the movie cast), but like this one girl, Izzy, sings the one line in Belle that is sung by the old bald woman in the movie. It was just too much fun. Today is the last show (*tear*) and its also the day to mess around a little too much. The kid playing the father, Chuckles, is going to wear one of the silly girl wigs, and we're getting there a few hours early to trash the boy's dressing room, among other things that are bound to happen. Now I'm waiting for the videos to finish uploading! I shall return. :D |

Megan, it just blesses me to see you having so much FUN, and including us ol' folks. You make my day. |
Here's the videos I have so far. :D In all of the videos where we're in regular villager clothes (all of the videos except Be Our Guest) I'm in the pink dress w/ the flowered apron. Belle: http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n...15-08002-1.flv Belle: http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n...3-15-08004.flv Gaston: http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n...3-15-08001.flv Gaston: http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n...3-15-08003.flv Gaston: http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n...3-15-08005.flv and there's more coming. :) |
Megan honey, you look like you are having so much fun. Just listening to you is making me smile. Keep up the good work, I KNOW you will go far. |
Megan, it's wonderful to hear you so excited! You guys did a wonderful job, well done. These memories will stay with you forever, don't be sad about it ending, you're just a little closer to the next one. :bravo: :bravo: Sheilagh |
Yeah....what Sheilagh said! Great clips, Terri! Thanks for sharing these. What a great cast. |
Megan, your enthusiasm and excitement is positively refreshing and I'm having such a good time hearing all about everything. Also, the videos are wonderfully done and when added to your descriptions I feel like I am almost there experiencing it all with you. Thank you SO very much for sharing your big weekend with us all and have a wonderful, wonderful closing night! |
OMG, that was even BETTER than I imagined. You guys are PROS! I wanna go out and rent the movie, or play. Can I rent the play? I've got to find out. Kelly and I are delighted to know those goofy Alaska socks we bought you contributed to your paper plate award. Next time, we'll get rubber soles on them! Congrats. And, thanks, Teri, for the videos. They are fantastic. |
ain't she great? I'll tell you those kids just blew us away! I had to see the show all 5 times.....and I enjoyed the last one every bit as much as the first! |
WAHH its over. :( We were all crying soo hard during the curtain call. I just got back from dinner with the cast at IHOP. we were there for 2+ hours cause no one wanted to leave. It was so hard to say goodbye to this show. I\'ve never ever cried at the final show of a show I\'ve been in. Usually I\'m happy to finally be done with it. But Beauty and the Beast, for all of us, was very special and very different somehow from the ones that we\'ve done in the past. I think its because with most shows, you rehearse a few times a week for an hour or two. But with this one, for the last 3 months we\'ve been with each other every single night for 3+ hours. We really grew to love each other. A lot of the sadness also had to do with this being the seniors\' final show at our school. I\'m soooo tired, so I\'m not going to finish loading the videos tonight. But I will get them up. :D |
