Ok -- You have separate color cartridges, right? The older type HP-s have the print heads on the printer cartridges. When you had the paper jam, it probably damaged the print head on the yellow cartridge. You will probably need to purchase a new yellow. |
I agree,HP seems to always have some sort of problems. My nest printer sure won't be a HP! Mine is constantly getting jammed when printing it will pull the whole stack of paper in. |
So I bought all new cartridges and its still not working!!!!! And its deff the yellow. I tested a document typed in yellow and sure enough :thumbdown I'm so mad! So is this fixable? Should I just buy another printer??? I just basicly wasted my money on these new ink cartridges :( |

Do you know if once you open a new cardridge, will it last if you pack it back up? |

If cleaning the heads gently with rubbing alcohol isn't working - then it's the probably clogged printer heads and that can run some $$ - They can send you a new printerhead 'set' or if you can try to buy individual. With the last HP I had - it was a whole printer head and would have run about 200 - so I bought a new printer and love it. and yes it seems to be an HP issue - My canon that I've had over a year and 1/2 hasn't once given me problems (knock on wood) :) |
I have a HP 3310 all in one Photosmart, and love it, after its done printing it purges itself. I use it alot and never had a problem with it for over 2yrs. Other then replacing the colors ! Good luck ! |
