Really bummed today
 
Ive not had the best time this last couple of weeks but today is really depressing. Im sitting here watching my husband packing his bags to shipout. He leaves tue. morning for his 15 month tour in Iraq, his 3rd tour. Im trying to not let him know how much this is killing me but I am dieing. The last 2 were hard but I was in a good place when he left and had a good susport system in place. Not so this time. Im sick now and my best friend just got orders to go to Kentucky. So Ill be alone and icky. Thank god for my babies, both skin and fur. Without them I might not bother getting up in the mornings. Im sorry guys I just need to vent and I lnow you guys wont tell me to suck it up:)

Poor thing ! I am sorry you feeling so down, i know we cant replace your Hubby,but you allways have us here on YT :)

:ghug: I think you need a hug. I'm sorry you're going through this. I know you're going to have everything on your shoulders while your hubby is gone and that you will miss him terribly! If you get too lonely, get on here. There's always someone to talk to and a shoulder to lean on.:) :bighug:

I was sitting here exhausted due to working on a totally flooded basement and five babies with 20 very wet and muddy paws running around. The last two days have just been awful, but your post really put things in perspective. I went right over to my dh and gave him a big hug.
My heart goes out to you and I hope you know that you have all of us here to help whenever you need us.

I thank God for people like you and your husband. Please know you are going to be in my prayers. I have worked for the soldiers for over 30 years and know what a terrific job they do serving our country. Also the wives are so special. You must remember God will not put anything more on your plate then you can handle. Think positive, there is a wonderful lesson you'll be learning.

My heart goes out to you and your husband...Please tell him how much he is admired and respected for making this sacrifice to serve his country..and bless you for allowing him to do this!! You sound like the strongest person!! I know your breaking on the inside and please just feel all these arms around you holding you!!! I am glad you have your little fur balls and kiddos with you!!! We are here at YT for you too...Please post often and keep us informed how he is and how you are....We will do whatever we can to get you through this time:hug: Without the ones like you and your husband..we wouldn't be America!!!!

I am sorry to hear about hubby leaving.. I am a retired military wife.. and I know what it is like for them to go away... 6 months was what our's went for.. that is one heck of a long tour.. and as far as I am concerned far too long for one time.. they need to start the us military deploying for 6-9 months.. and then to they change over.. I personally think this is far too long for a person to be in a war zone for that long.. not healthy on them.. they get burnt out too easy..
I will think of you often.. and like others say.. you have us, we cannot replace your hubby, but we can sure try to keep you going. so you do not feel so lonely..
My heart goes out to you, and I know he is doing good for his country.. but I just think they wear out the same soldiers too much...

I'm sorry. I somewhat know how you feel. My ex-boyfriend (who was my boyfriend at the time) who was a marine did two tours of Iraq while I was with him and it was horrible. The only communication I had with him was through snail mail. :( I have so much appreciation for those guys. I know I could never do anything like that.

oh girl - that's sad for you - Having a support system in place is so important.

Girl I know how you are feeling but just pray about it. It will be o.k. Take a class or do something to keep yourself very active while he is gone. I am a single mother and I am to in the military and it kills be everytime I have to leave my daughters. If something was to happen to me what will be of my children. Its very hard being a service member and having to leave your family for long periods of time. Believe me it is hurting him to. I might not show it or even talk to much about it but it is killing him to. Im here for you if you need anything and your husband and your family are in my prayers.

Awwww sweetie, this hits close to home for me, my husband has done 3 tours and I know how you feel, it breaks my heart everytime I hear of them leaving and it feels my heart with happy when I hear of them returning. If you need anything at all, anything you can ask me and I will do what I can to help out.... us military wives stick toether. As I am sure you will have great support from the ladies on YT. I am going home to Oklahoma in July for a family reunion, camping all weekend, and maybe you and your kids and furkids could come and go camping with us, my hubby won't be there either.... he will be in a school. I have kids and furkids coming..... would love to meet you and swap stories!!!!! I will say a prayer every night for you and your family!!!! Thank yo for your sacrifices!!!! DOT

women who are fighting to keep our country a safe place for all of us.
Be strong sweetie and keep busy. I can't imagine how difficult this is for
both of you. Give him a hug for me and thank him too for giving up his
needs for the needs of his country. Your husband is what our country is
all about. You must be so proud of him. I hope the time goes fast for you
and he is home safe and sound before you know it.

I'm so sorry he has to ship out. It is very honorable what he is doing though, try to keep your thoughts on how lucky you are to be his wife and how proud you must be, I can only imagine how hard it is though. I'll keep you and your husband in my prayers.
