Remembered another one. Don't ever buy your other half shoes because if you do they'll walk away from you or maybe that was run:rolleyes: . Anyway I can vouch for that one;)

I have a good one:

If you drop a spoon a female is coming to visit you

haha! I certainly hope this one's not true because I have bought my husband shoes many times (for the last 17 years!)..... he hates to shop!

"If you have heartburn while your prego it means the baby will have lots of hair when it's born."
(My MIL used to drive me NUTS with this one..begging me to get heartburn...like I could control it!)

"If you have wet hair when it's cold you'll get sick."
(My dad still tells me this and I'm 29!:rolleyes: )

I came out the shower when I was a teenager and my hair was wet, my grandmother asked "don't you have your period" I'm like yeah. She had a face like this:eek: "you should never wash your hair when you have your period" huh ok :confused:
Never heard the first one, but did the second one...and let me just say it is the silliest thing I've ever heard ;)

Oh the heartburn one made me think of another one. I've always had pretty nice skin but when I was pregnant with my daughter I developed major acne. My face, my chest, my back- it was an absolute nightmare. A friend told me her MIL told her this-
When you are pregnant with a girl, you are putting all of your beauty into her. It made me feel a bit better.:p Little did I know that after having her I would lose half of my hair and it would take a year for my skin to clear up.:rolleyes:

Bad luck to give knifes as a gift to friends/ Family!

I don't know why- I just got my sister a really, really knife set for Xmas one year- and My Mom freaked! Made my sister give me a quarter- to buy it from me so it would not be a "gift" It was a $100 knife set!! LOL
