Another weekend with a severe storm warning We are under yet another severe snowfall warning here meaning another weekend stuck in the house because of road conditions. I am sooooooooooooo sick of winter this year and just want it to end. February has been the worst for us the year and it seems like it is always on the weekends. I literally get cabin fever and a major headache when I cant get out. Guess that gives new meaning to being hyper and cant sit still lol. |
LOL...but just be glad you see a "winter" unlike us in Louisiana. The good part is that you can be on YT alllllllll day!! ;) :) |
Sherri, I know what you mean and I really long for Spring. It is snowing here this morning and will not end till later this afternoon. Thank goodness my babies enjoy it, or it would really be getting me down. March is really coming in like a lion and I long for the lamb part. LOL |

Today I would gladly trade you places and give you my winter. Most days I actually love it here. This morning there are deer everywhere in my backyard and I could sit and watch them all day. It seems YT is unusually quiet the last couple of weeks . I could barely keep up here with all the posts at one time. |
Perhaps a few have time off for Spring break? I too, found it to be extremely chatty for a while. What gives? |
i know how you feel.michigan has had record breaking amounts of snow this yr.we got more yesterday and more comming on monday i keep asking myself is it ever going to stop.i need it to be sping:) |

Our weather seems to be never ending, but compared to yours .. it really is not too bad. Keep thinking ..... Spring! :daisy: |
It won't be long...... and Spring will shine in!!!........ But in the meantime, get a soft blanket, a snuggly furkid, a computer, or a good book, maybe a warm cup of coffee or tea....... and just "Chill"! (No Pun intended!!!) Have a nice weekend! |
lol, you pretty much described exactly what I am doing, have the blanket, kass curled up by my tush . Only exception is I already drank one pot of coffee so had to switch to icewater so am chilling hehe. |
Sending you warm wishes 1 Attachment(s) Sherri, here is a vision to keep you warm this weekend. Summer will be here before you know it. Hope if you do get snow its not too bad! |
How rotten are you lol..... |
I need sunshine!!!!!! We live in Massachusetts and I have HAD IT with the snow! We're having another storm today as well. I am sooooo ready for spring. Does anyone else have to shovel paths in their backyard for the dogs? We make a maze for our 2 dogs. There is so much snow, their little legs would never carry them out. We have fun sometimes with the paths...get real creative. I had my 9 yr. old daughter do it for me last storm. I looked into my backyard from my second story bedroom and saw "Hi!" next to the path. Kellie had created text in their path :) |
Just heard on the news that last year Boston had 17 inches of snow...this year, we've had 50. Spring, where are you? |
Kass hates the snow so no need to worry about shoveling for her. We open the front door and she squats on my porch making sure she has one foot inside the door, the joke here is we have a yellow welcome mat. |
ooohhh I hear you! its sat morn and it snowed all night and it is still snowing! about 6 inches so far!! uuuggghhhh i'm soooo sick of this winter! |
This mess is supposed to be all day , night and into the afternoon tomorrow. The wind is already wild and the weather network is issuing a warning for blizzard conditons by evening yuck. |
Why don't you just go hop on a plane and come on down to Texas. The daffodils and iris are blooming and the bradford pear trees are blooming. I have plenty and of room and the puppies can play in the back yard. |

I figure when my youngest kids are in college (10 more years) I'll be packing up for TX. Of course, I'll have to keep a place in Maine, I think, as I love Maine in the summer. |
I would love to visit Maine. A couple of years ago we made a trip to Vermont with my goal to visit Maine but we ended up on Cape Cod instead. |
If you make it to Maine make sufe you come the rest of the way and see us. I am 30mins from the Maine border so you cant refuse plus we have a big yard you can park your home on wheels in. |
well, hate to tell you this, but after a lot of snow here also, ice sleet, and all the nasty winter stuff- It was almost 70 here today!!:) :) :) :) :) :) but it is suppose to get cold and nasty tomorrow nite- Mon and Tue! Now after a few nice days- that cold will hurt! Hope the nice day we had here today- gets up to you!!:) |
I will be sooooooo glad when we hit 70 even 50 will be nice. It is still snowing hard this morning and we got well over a foot so far and huge drifts from heavy winds. I have to admit it sure is pretty out this morning . |
As an oil painter, my heart is always left in Maine after a trip. Besides a family lake house on Long Lake, I have made a few plein air painting trips in Maine that were like going to Hawaii for me. A place many do not venture is the furthest East point of the U.S. What a beautiful area. It's one of the prime "untouched" areas of our country. The coastline is bold with cliffs, such a sight. I painted Lubec, Tide Mill Farm and Cantabella Island (Canada). It's out-of-the-way, but so worth the trip. For a week I drove around looking for my "spot" to paint listening to Luciano - what an experience. Another beautiful spot for me was Monhigan Island. I went there for a long weekend with another painting friend to find the same untouched beauty. It's so rare to find places like this that have been uncommercialized. Food for an artist's soul.:) This summer I'll have to bring my new baby...Trixie. On a leash of course! |
It's 70 degrees outside now, but the wind is howling and blows my furbabies over when they squat. Severe storms are threatened for this P.M. My dh said that he heard on the radio that all this snow is blamed on global warming. What? |
