Isn't it discusting? Persians are bred to be a larger cat. They are big boned, broad, stocky cats witha LOT of thick, long fur. You can't take a cat like that and make it tiny...not without breeding poor quality cats. It's just rediculous :rolleyes: Byb's are already trying to ruin the yorkie...so they need to LEAVE MY BEAUTIFUL PERSIANS ALONE!!

LOL...Mine are small for their breed...both only 8lbs. Guess they are TEACUPS!

Our adoption fee is based upon the breed, size, expression, and color of the cat or kitten. Generally smaller kittens are priced higher.

My gosh...my youngest Persian came from an excellent show breeder...she has several grand champions in her pedigree, and her grandmother is the #1 chocolate point in CFA history...she didn't cost me $800 :rolleyes:

They are beautiful but honestly a 9 lb or even a 13 lb cat is not a big deal in an apt so I don't know why they feel the need to breed them down.

My gorgeous siamese cost me $2.50. When my vet saw her he was like OMG she is beautiful and perfect to the standard...you think of showing her. Shoot does the owner have any more?

They are obviously mixed with another breed as they attempt to downsize them. Frustrating what people will do to make more money.

Thats so sad to see when there are 1000's of cat in the streets & shelters Dying every day & there MAKING these Poor cats Prob cant even breath right Being made even smaller there noses are prob barely open

OK I Love my big huge. 20+ pound all cat no fat. Stormy.. He is bigger than all the Yokies together. He is Persian and manecoon mix.
he was our rescue and we have had him 15 years.. I love my Stormy man..

This lady that was a friend of a friend at work had an intact female. She never spayed her and she seems to have made friends with another Siamese in the area...of course the good owner that she is she let her out to roam so every heat she is pregnant. Stormy man is handsome. April said he looks very nice. She is here looking at his picture...lol.

I can't see any cat other than a tiger or a lion being too big for an apt. That is just the biggest crock of crap I have ever heard.

He tries to groom me too but I can't handle the the rough Tongue

That's awesome. Not that she was irresponsible and wouldn't spay her cat, but that she let you pay her with ice cream :p I met a vet student last weekend with a beautiful Seal Point Himalayan..she got her from the shelter.

I bet it's the Maine Coon in him. They are supposed to be really "dog-like" and most supposedly like water. They are so pretty.

There are all kinds of "designer" cats on the streets and in every shelter...all coat types, all colors, all sizes, all ages, all personalities. Anyone who pays a high price for a mixed breed cat is an idiot...you can easily get one for free or for a small adoption fee :rolleyes:

Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!! When will it end??? Ok, I want a tea cup Arabian, a micro-mini Clydsdale, a thimbletip Shetland Pony to go with my Q-tip Skye Terrier and my pin-head Yorkies! Just think, you could pick up all the poop with a fork and a teaspoon!! You would never have to leave them at home because they would all fit in the car!!! I could have 500 horses and have a miniature stampede!!!!!! And all in the garage!!! A bale of hay would last over a year!!!!!

The same can be said with Yorkies and other small breed dogs (like Maltese, Chihuahuas, etc.) that people are trying to breed down to the smallest size possible.

Some of those cats have funny looking eyes. :confused:

I just rehomed my Savannah that was a "designer cat" ;) She was actually a rescue that came into the animal hospital while I was working one day. Her whole litter was living in the woods behind someones house. She had a huge abscess on her side (probably where a grub had been) and ear mites and yeast so bad I am sure it damaged her hearing. I got her in good health but my other cat, Celia, HATED her. I mean hated. The poor thing just stayed hidden everyday, all day long. She was terrified to come out. :( She was so beautiful too.
