Who had crappy Valentines day? :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown |
Well, I didn't have a crappy day, but I did have a crappy Valentine's dinner.. we are both on diet and had yoghurt and toast for dinner:thumbdown Sorry if you had a crappy day:( Sheilagh |
Well, it could of been better-the last couple of weeks really. Been in hospital 2 times- short stays. I slept alot- still weak! But it was just kind of a sad day for me! Next year- i hope to have a great Valentine's Day!:) |
Chin UP ~~ It's only a day and what you make it. I know it can be depressing for some but just try to remember - if you have your health & a roof over your head - you're already doing better than many (at least that's what I tell myself lately when I get down) a2luckygirl - I hope you feel better - and saphire - LOL on the 'diet' dinner - that sounds more like a snack to me ! |
The worst ever!! :thumbdown Yesterday had to be the worst Valentine's ever. I hated it so much that I even broke up with my bf of 3 1/2 years!!! He is such a worthless piece of you know what.... :thumbdown  :thumbdown  :thumbdown ::mad: :thumbdown  |
I felt great all day but when I got home somehow I started getting down! I had two glasses of vino to perk me up and woke up with a headache this am. So I'm still feeling yukky!:( |
What's Valentine's Day???????   :p By the way, chocolate tastes wonderful any time of the year.:D |
mine was good... I wanted to spend time with my hubby and Gizmo and we did just that.... we went to home depot bought my paint for my house to REPAINT this weekend and I'm excited... picked up a Botana for 2 from one of our favorite mexican restaurants and ate at home , watched the Gatorade Fuel/ Daytona 500 and just relaxed... pretty good... ON another note... I BROKE MY PERFUME THIS AM!! I am fuming mad.... geez! |
this year mine was good, thank god b/f bought me from victoria secrets, looks like a big heart box of choclates, but inside was perfumes and lip glosses.. its about time he got it right... |
I did! |
I guess mine was okay hubby made me frozen pizza so I didn't have to cook and we decided not to buy presents because we just bought a house. This is the third year in a row no going out to dinner or presents. |
Valentines Day is just another Day out of the 365 days..another way for hallmark and other places to make money..It should not be any different than any other day..any why would you break up with a b-f after 3 1/2 years?? Why did you stay with him 3 1/2 years if he was a worthless piece of crap? i just don't understand..guess it's because I've been married so many years, and I have always looked at the pros over the cons..my hubby can screw up once in awhile, we all can, but, my God, he gives me more joy in my life than he does sorrow.. |
Not a good one here either.....Hubby and I are in a disagreement over many things these days....He did bring me home Roses and a very sweet letter but those are easy things and I think he did it because he is in the dog house...he once said on Valentines day that he didn't get me any flowers because I expect them on Valentines day.....I really don't expect him to do anything sweet....but once in awhile it is nice to know you are appreciated...I asked him what happens the other 363 days that I don't recieve flowers???hmmmm? Anyways..school got called off because we were expecting up to a foot of snow and we only recieved about 3 inches so that was a waste of no school that the kids now have to make up in June....then my son broke 2 of his toes.... Plus I was miserable and a bundle of nerves because Lizzie went in to get spade and have 4 teeth pulled and a root canal... sorry to ramble but no I did not have a good V-day... |
what do you mean the other 363 days? Does this mean he gets you flowers twice a year?? |

My Husband was sick with the flu so we didnt do anything. We are going to go out to eat this weekend. I am sorry yours was bad |
your right, that wasnt nice to say, and i was starting to comment on that and then backed out of the thread, because i know my mouth, and still dont want to say anything because it wont be nice... people change, sometimes for the worst.. |
No presents or anything special. I have myself really worked up right because I'm having a tattoo removed right now, & I don't know what to expect from the healing process. It has all this black/purple skin over the tattoo that my nurse says will come off, it's because it blistered, but i'm still really worried about what it will look like underneath because i can't see it. I just hope it comes off soon. So I just tried to relax last night because I have trouble eating & sleeping when I get this upset. I've received some positive information from other people today so I'm starting to feel better. My husband has been so wonderful & supportive through all this that that was all the valentines day present I needed. Plus he made dinner last night so I could relax. I promised him I'd make him cupcakes over the weekend for being so awesome & understanding. |
Our daughter is 22 and this is the first year that she doesn't say that Valentine's Day isn't from the devil.:D Joanne :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :dog: |

Sorry you all had a bad day yesterday! I sort of did....my daughter and I went out to lunch and to the movies, but I had a major headache...DH brought home flowers for the both of us and both of us got a new DVD and I got new house shoes (long story about that ), but I laid in bed and he made his Valentine's dinner (I just felt horrible that he had to do that).......but regarding being sick...I guess I had a wonderful day! |
Mine was nuthin' to write home about:D Sick daughter, 2 sick grandkids, a "not so romantic" hubby. But you know even with that, I feel I am blessed. Valentine's Day is just another day. |
My day was simply ok! My dh is in Puerto Rico for work, so I was home alone with my two daughters, and we are doing all of the work on the farm!! So needless to say it was not the most special Valentine's Day! |
I can still remember my first valentine's day as a married couple. My husband didn't buy anything or plan anything. We were still in the honeymoon, gushy, lovey-dovey stage and he didn't do anything. I was so upset and disappointed. He went to a truck stop and bought a yucky birthday card and crossed out the writing and wrote happy valentine's day on it because all the V-day cards were sold out. :( But by that time I was too upset to even accept it. He has made up for it over the past 18 years--anniversary is on Sunday. |
My day was OK, but no presents or anything. I told my husband he shouldn't get me anything because we are trying to save money. PLUS, last year, there was a snafu at the florist and they delivered a BIG bouquet to me EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK!!! My office was full of flowers, and my co-workers were wondering "what the heck???". I just let them think I had lots of admirers. :D Now THAT was a good Valentine's day!!! |
I sent my mom a V-day card this year. She lives alone and is pretty much house bound. She called and was tickled pink (no pun intended) that she got a card after so many years of not getting one.:) The front of the card had a little white dog wearing black glasses.:D |
