Is there a reason you have to stay in Times Sq...I mean, it's pretty touristy/garish. If you must, I'd recommend the W on Times Sq (I think it's the one w/ the water over the entrance). Otherwise, there are so many more charming places to stay. I stayed a bit more upper east - and absolutely loved it. Wasn't too far - but far enough from the touristy bleh to be charming NY-ish - close to Central Park, museums, cab access, everything. I adore SoHo - that's really fun too. |

I guess TS is good too if you plan on attending Broadway Shows or even doing some touristy things like go to Rockefeller Center, etc. Or the Rodger Williams is nice and that's near Macy's and Central Park. ;) |
New York No reason to really stay in TS, but just thought it may be easier to get around if staying there, since there will be 4 women with no sense of direction, we will be doing the usual sightseeing, hoping to take in a play also. Please keep the ideas coming. Tammy |

I stayed at the Paramount 2 years ago in April. The hotel is really funky and quite cool. The rooms are kind of small, but how much time will you really spend in the room anyway? I don't believe they serve breakfast in the hotel, but there is a little diner/breakfast place right next to it, and they have great food. :) and the hotel's prices aren't bad either. Its right off of TS -- I believe its on W 45th or 46th. Last July we got a great deal on a room at the Marriott, so I'd suggest that, but we only stayed there because we got a great deal -- its usually really expensive. But incase you're interested in it, there is a concierge's (sp..ouch) lounge with free internet, and its right in the middle of TS. :) Have fun! |
I've only stayed at Club Quaters but I think that hotel is for business affiliates or something. It was nice enough and close to it all. If I were going there for a weekend trip with the girls I would stay as close to Times square as possible. Even if it is touristy that is the type of atmosphere that you expect when you visit NYC IMO (for the record I live in NY but am no where near NYC) |
