Oh my dear dear Frister! How is sweet little Mason????? I had so hoped that Barbi would work her magic on him. I missed something about Karis being in the hospital  how is she doing?????? Sending up a multitude of prayers for your entire family with extras for Mason and Karis. And some extras for you, my dear dear Frister. |
Prayer's coming for your whole family Patti. I hope your grandchildren are better today and everyone get's back on the road to recovery. You sure have your hands full. It's terrible when it all happens at once. |
Sending lots of prayers for Mason. My 3 year old was this way last week. It's the stomach bug that is going around. The bug take up to two weeks to fully leave the system. Try to get him to drink lots. If you feel he is dehydrated then for sure rush him to the hospital. |
oooooooh Patty:( . I hope there is a miraculous improvement in the health of your loved ones and your precious Grandson Mason. My heart goes out to you. I will be checking (and checking and checking) for updates. Take care of yourself girl:hands: |
Another update. Just came back from seeing Karis. She is in isolation but we went in a loved on her. She is still running a fever but is perking up with all the fluids going in. Mason has been checked in. Poor little guy. They had such a hard time finding a vein. They are doing all kinds of bloodwork and taking chest xrays because he sounds so congested. Barbi is on her way home to take a nap since she was up all night last night with Mason. Barbi is my daughter, Mason's aunt. Guess all of us will be running back and forth since they are in different hospitals....in different cities. Thanks again for all you thoughts and prayers. |
Sound like you have more than enough on your plate right now. My prayers are still with you and your family. Try not to wear yourself out. |
It leaves me at a loss for words....:( ISOLATION??!? Oh, poor Karis:2omg: I'm glad to hear they let some of you in to love on her. It makes me sick to think of them trying to find a vein on the baby :cry8: The fluids will be so good for him though. It sounds like you should get a nap for yourself too Patty. I will keep you ALL in my prayers. |
Prayers going your way for your very special family! |
You poor thing, sending all the best wishes and prayers to you and your family!! :bighug: |
Another little update... Well they let Karis go home. I am really confused though since she is still running fever:confused: Poor little Mason is still in the hospital. Some of his tests came back and he doesn't have the roto virus. Don't know what his problem is though. Thanks again for all the prayers. |
Aw Patty I'm so sorry you and your family are all going through this. Being sick is no fun, especially when so many are sick:( I will keep you in my prayers that you have the strength to help take care of the babies like you are, I can't imagine how hard it is phsycially after your surgery, but you are a strong person for doing so! |
Patty, thanks for the updates. I will continue to pray for all. Please take care of yourself and get enough rest, so you can continue to be helpful. Praying for God's healing and God's speed. |
Gosh, your plate has been full! I will pray for you and your dear family. Sending get well wishes to all of you! |
I'm just seeing this. and wanted to check to see how everyone is doing? I will pray for you and your family for them to feel better soon! |
I'm glad to know Karis is now home - that will certainly ease some of the running around. Prayers still coming for you all. Please update on Mason when you can. |
Well ladies poor little Mason is still throwing up everything they feed him so he won't be going home today:( Now my daughter Barbi has it. She is sooo sick. So far everyone in the family who has had this has ended up in the hospital...hope she doesn't!! I so appreciate the prayers. I just love all of you:) |
Aww Patty, you must be exhausted and worried! Please take care of yourself. I will be sending more prayers your way for your dear family. Happy Valentine's day by the way... Hugs, Sheilagh |
:( Oh my Patty, how dreadful:big_hug: . Does this flu tend to run a certain length of time? Poor Barbi. Your family is going through so much right now. Did Karis get to go home? |
Thanks my friends. Karis went home and is doing better today but her mom has it now too. I really don't know how long it lasts. Karis had it for 6 days and Mason has had it since Sunday. They are running more tests on Mason today so maybe we will find out something soon. Can I tell you how much I don't want to get this!!!!! I have been using clorox on everything but with Barbi living here and having Mason for 2 days when he is sick, I don't think clorox is really gonna help:D |
Patty - if you have the ability to get to the drugstore - get yourself some of those nasal swab things (I cannot remember what they are called) that you're supposed to use at first sign of flu - they are supposed to shorten the duration and lessen the symtpoms. Then, if you do start, hopefully is won't be as bad. Take care of yourself and still praying for your whole family. |
Oh Patty, I am so very sorry. I hope and pray that ALL your family gets well speedy quick. Poor little Mason :( -- sending that sweet baby lots of hugs. Will the sickness ever end???? You need to be sure to take your vitamin "C", wash your hands, and get plenty of rest. Maybe that will help you fight off the nasty bug. |
Oh Wow Patty, I just now seen this, So sorry everyone has been so sick, Sending you all good thoughts and Prayers:getwellso :hands: :hands: |
Patty! I can\'t believe I missed this! How horrible. I will be praying that they continue to recover and that you don\'t get it! Sounds awful!! You sure have more than your share of trials right now! |
Friday\'s update... Barbi is feeling a little better. Mason is still in the hospital. For some reason he still can\'t keep his formula down. So far all of his tests have come back negative..no flu, no roto virus, x rays ok. He is still on the IV for hydration. I went to see him awhile ago and he still has that huge grin he always has and is fascinated with the board they have taped to his arm for the IV. He has lost about a pound. I went to the dr. with ex-dil and Karis is doing much better...still has that gunky cough. The dr. said this flu seems to last about 2 weeks!!!! Thanks again for all the prayers. |
OH MY!!! 2 weeks!!! It made me smile when you mentioned Mason\'s grin though. What a little sweetheart. Sounds like you are doing a great job with the clorox, so I\'d stick to it. DOOR KNOBS! Don\'t forget those....that is where tons of germs hang out. The toilet handle also. Handles on the sinks too. I like the idea that you do that new "swab" thing. Still praying for a full recovery for everyone. How is your son? |
Saturday Update Well Karis is much better and so is Barbi and :xfingers: no one else has come down with it yet. Poor little Mason is still in the hospital. They took more xrays today and have started him on breathing treatments every 3 hours...hope he doesn\'t have pneumonia now on top of everything else. Would appreciate more prayers for Mason please. |
Oh Patty, I\'m glad to hear atleast Karis and Barbi are feeling better. Our poor little Mason. Are the breathing treatments helping? You KNOW I will continue to keep that precious baby in my prayers. |
Glad to hear the good news but sad to hear little Mason is still in the hospital. I will be praying for your little guy! Thank you for the update. |
