Well unfortunately they couldn't give me the owners info, but I did get a chance to tell the security man the details behind what went down yesterday. He told me that his boss did let the owner know that the dog was showing signs of aggression, but that he will call him right away and let him know the severity of it so that he can speak with them again, They are really good about doing these kinds of things. For know I feel a bit better. I can't wait to get my new police grade pepper spray. It is legal to carry this around in CA, I checked. Either way I can assure you all that I will never go for a walk without thinking of this dog and taking my spray. Thank you all for your support and concern

I'm glad the people in your area are concerned about it. We have loads of problems around here with dogs off leash, even in our own complex. I have followed people home to find out where they live and then called animal control on them. Tina has been picked up by multiple dogs here and tossed, bruised, etc. And I don't stand for that, and neither does animal control. Good luck to you!

What....why would someone be offended??? You did absolutely the RIGHT thing...dang...I need to get pepperspray...thank goodness you remained calm and had the spray and no one got hurt!!

no kidding , i'd be the same as you :eek: i do carry pepperspray, but its old....i think i am going to find that link i got saved in my fav. and order some !
Thank god everyone is ok. I am not afraid of big dogs, but since i got my 2 Babies, i have been scared sh#$%& for their safety :(

What a scary story! I am so glad you and Louis are okay!

I had a loose dog come after Lady a few years ago. It came up behind us so I didn\'t realize he was there until it was too late. I dove to protect her and fractured my pelvis in the process, but she was okay.

I got pepper spray for dogs, called Muzzle, and tell everyone I know to carry it now. Just picking up your dog or spraying the dog with citronella spray will not stop an attack. As you found out, often an attacking dog will turn on you.

Thank heavens you had that spray.

That is scary, im so sorry! I\'m glad you weren\'t hurt. I would tell the owners right away if possible.

So glad you are safe. I learned something very important from your story. I have never thought about carrying pepper spray when I walk the dogs - now you made me see a reason to do so.
