Power's out - below zero temp on it's way - YorkieTalk.com Forums

My power just went out & my battery on my laptop probably won't last but an hr or so. It's 32 and the temps are suppose to fall throughout the day to below 0 with high winds 40-mph. The wind is already whipping around, but I'm shocked the power is already out.

I rarely have outages, I called to report it about 10 mins ago & they said a good deal of my city is without power

& that the estimate it will be 1 1/2hrs before it's up again.

The worst part is I keep my house pretty cool - about 65 in here right now. I just hope it really is back up in an hr or so. I was going to bathe the yorkies.

Roxy is just having a fit barking at everything today anyway because of the wind

Get out the blankets! Hope you get power back quick, I freeze when it's below 60 degrees!

I am sorry your power is out. I hope its back on soon. We are supposed to be getting those cold temps too. Get out your warm blankets and snuggle with your furbabies

Oh my gosh!! Is there anyone on here you can crash with? That sounds like a dangerous situation.

If not, pull out the blankies and keep warm!!

Thank you, you are so kind!! I was thinking I would wait a bit & see if I get power back & it just came back on! Hallelujah!! hopefully it stays on!!

I'm glad the power is back on. I think I would raise that temp a little bit in case it goes out again.

So glad to hear your power came back on. I definetly agree, raise the temp. in the house a little bit just in case it goes back out again. Right before Christmas we had a terrible ice storm and we were out of power for 10 days.

We had a 15 1/2 hour power outage last week due to the high winds. It went out at 1:30am and our furnace goes down to 63 at night. By the time we got up at 7:00am, the house was already down to 56 degrees. Power didn't come back on till 4:30pm when our house temp was 52 - brrrrrr. The outside temps were in the single digits, but it was at least sunny.

We're bracing again cause teh 40-60mph winds are coming again tonight, but the temp is supposed to much colder.........

Betcha it was power outage -- I was talking to my mom in Florida on my cordless phone & that's what happened to me - great big fuzzy sound. Thank God for cell phones & laptops.

Hope your brother's comes back and fast as mine did!
