Warning - Tornado Outbreak in the South
 
Hey guys, looks like a historical tornado event is happening in the south. Memphis, Jackson, and parts of Arkansas have already been hit hard with some confirmed deaths and people trapped at a college and nursing home.

Tornados are currently breaking out in Middle Tn and will continue to do so until the morning! The worse is yet to come, a tornado emergency has been issued. Storm will likely move into GA and AL. Everyone PLEASE have your safe room ready and keep your TV's on and tuned to a local station.

It may be warm and mild out there right now but get ready if you're in those areas.

thanks for this post! I have the news on and am keeping an eye on it. I doubt I will get any sleep...i worry so much about my daughter. I would die if I went to sleep and something hit and happened to her...or any of my family (2 and 4 legged)

btw..how are you doing? I have been meaning to call you. I'm horrible :(

Yep, the news says that a supercell is heading your way! Sleep would be dangerous tonight. Have you seen what is headed our way later tonight:eek: It's unbelievable.

Are you still sick! I feel so bad for you! At least I could take something. I finally got over my pneumonia and felt better for a week and a half but now I have picked up another virus :mad: I'm sick of being sick even though it's not as bad as it was before. Steroids is what ended up finally knocking mine out, but I hate taking them. What are they doing for you? Let me know if you need anything!

Yes, Please everyone keep informed. I drive a bus and we actually got a letter today about the weather for in the morning,I cant ever remember us being warned the day before:( . Our Superintendent and transportation supervisors had a meeting at 10:30 with our local EMA:2omg: . I am in Northeast Al so everybody in the surrounding states stay safe. Hopefully these storms :lightning will weaken:xfingers: .

I have friends who are chasers and are out there right now. Even they are frightened by what they are seeing and that's what scares me! I'll post if they tell me anything new.

I'm in SC right by the GA border, they say we have bad weather coming tomorrow, possible hail, thunderstorms and possible tornadoes...

I am feeling great. can't complain :D I was able to take benedryl and that seemed to really help for what I had.

I am glad you are feeling better....hopefully whatever you caught this time won't hang around for long!!!

How are the babies??? :D I need to look for some fabrics for you. I have been soooooooo busy lately...we just moved our office to Murfreesboro...and that has been a huge change for me. I hope things slow down soon :rolleyes:

I just talked to a friend of mine that lives 1 1/2 hours east of Dallas and he said they had 3 inches of hail :eek:

i am chewing my nails over here...we have rental property all over middle tennessee...and so far, this storm has hit every town that we have rental property in...and is heading straight for some more!!!!!!!!!! oye....i'm ready for August...so I can let someone else have my headaches....I mean my job LOL

The babies are good. Dixie has gained back the weight she lost when Maggie was here. Her lazy butt just wants to sleep all day!

Lily is doing okay, she had a seizure the other day. I always knew it was a strong possibility I just didn't think it would start so soon. Looks like I'm taking her back to UT to adjust he meds.

Just got a message, Tornado in downtown Nashville and people being told to take cover into the nearest building. I hope everyone is okay! The really scary thing is that this is just a fraction of what's coming later tonight.

Maggie has lost almost a full lb!!!! she was 6.2 and is now at 5.4. i am surprised. she looks so good now!!! Do I need to bring maggie back over so Dixie can lose weight again?? LOL i'm sure she is just fine :) i cant imagine her being "overweight". she is sooooooooooooooo adorable!!!!

OMG Tornados are so scary! I have been through a few in Oklahoma.:eek:
I read this and turned on the weather channel. Most of my family lives in Oklahoma, my sister lives in Texas and just had knee replacement surgery today.
Praying it just fizzes out!!

please everyone be careful! My 10 month old niece died when a tornado hit their home a few years ago, it was totally out of the blue, it hit in the middle of the night, she was found in the woods behind their house:( ever since i cant sleep when we get a tornando warning.........

Maggie must be a skinny mini now! Dixie wasn't really overweight I guess, just a bit chunky. I call her my chunky monkey. Her problem is that she prefers to lay in my lap and sleep than play with toys. I don't know why she doesn't play with Lily like she does Maggie. Maybe Lily just gets on her nerves! I think she does need a visit from Maggie again!

Oh No, I\'m so sorry. How awful for you and your family. A tornado hitting in the middle of the night is my worst fear when it comes to storms. That\'s one of the reasons these worry me. The worst will come around midnight and will continue until morning. My prayers go out for you and your family, I don\'t think you ever really get over something like that.

Gosh you guys! Sorry to hear this. We\'re gettiong the snow from the system. But I\'d must rather have a foot of snow than tornados. Lost my house to one once. Be safe!

Be safe everyone. Up here in Toronto we are getting some freak temperature changes. And now its freezing rain turning into about 20cm\'s of snow. When something like this happens it usually means somebody else is getting something worse on the edge of it.

Hi Everyone,

I\'m waking up watching the news.. And this is just terrible. 27 dead. in 3 total states. I hope everyone here and everyone else too in those areas are safe and well! Everyone will be in my thoughts and prayers. I sure hope it doesn\'t come my way either..
