Something Positive

My positive for the day is the little ball of fur sitting on my lap who makes me smile no matter what else goes wrong!

A friend got thru his heart surgery just fine, and I've got a Mom that I can call this evening to tell her about the one of the other most positive things for the day: My best girlfriend finally got Max's little sister, so now we both have our Yorkies! Today is a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

My positive is that my daughter is getting the help she needs with bipolar and I'm going to be grandma again in July.

My positive is something I was afraid was going to be a negative -- I took a break at work today and went to buy a Valentine's Day card for my daughter & ended up buying a few more gifts near my workplace. I went back to work, I stopped in this small restroom near my department and put the bag under the sink.

Walked out without -- which I realized about 20 minutes later. I went back to get it & it was gone I was sure someone STOLE IT!!

Usually, if something is lost an email gets sent out saying Found: such & such -- no emails & it was after 5:30 & I was rushing to get to the post office before they closed at 6pm.

As soon as I got home, I sent an email out to my department, the department that shares our floor & to HR -- just sure someone stole my gifts

But also knowing that most likely, I wouldn't get a response until morning. But praise God - about 20 minutes after I sent the email someone in HR responded & said it had been turned in -- it's waiting for me to pick up in HR tomorrow

What a great idea Angie! My positive is that I have my wonderful family. No matter how tough things get, we are there for each other and that's all that matters.

My positives are that I am in love with my best friend, I have a wonderful mother and a sweet intelligent little brother. My dogs pee outside or on their pad and they bring me all the joy in the world!

This is a great thread, it is nice to be reminded of all the good things that we are blessed with! Also, it is great to know others have been blessed as well!

Oh my, I could fill a book with the "positives" in my life. But today, my positives are:

1) my youngest daughter, a college freshman basketball player, had her first shot at some good minutes on the floor and had 4 three-pointers and 14 points!
2) my oldest daughter calls from Chicago almost every day and teaches me something new about her, me, or life in general.
3) my husband, who is nearly perfect, made me one of those instant deserts tonight.
4) my mom who is back in the hospital and not doing well was in a good mood today and we had a fun visit.

some of the things i am postive about are, the wonderful Mother who raised me, my sister, who is an angel on earth, and the rest of my great family. Many great friends-one GF for 48 years- we are only 51!! these were all given to me by God,and I cherish them very much! I also know that He will always put postive things in my life, as long as I leave my heart open for Him to do so! I have had many postive Blessings in my life! My family, friends,pets and many wonderful memories to cherish, and will have many more!

Wow! How wonderful to have had a good friend for that long! When I went out with a group of friends the other night, my best friend here, had a couple with her that the woman and she had been friends since 1st grade! So that's close, but no cigar to your 48 yrs....you really ARE blessed! I was so envious, LOL! Bless you both....many many happy years to share ahead!

Isn't that the GREATEST feeling? I accidentally left my purse (huge bag) in a grocery cart in the parking lot (after concientiouslessly putting the cart in the cart "lane") and didn't even realize it until HOURS later when I went to get my Palm Pilot for something.....and it was in not the greatest area too.....I just thought about all the stuff I had in there and had a terrible sinking feeling.....when I realized I must have left it there, I raced out (dh said 'oh, well, you just lost it all") to the store and went to the customer service desk and sure enough....someone had actually seen me leave it there when they were pulling in, but couldnt' catch me and took it inside to the desk. Those are the days when you know that God exists and has a guardian angel watching over you! It really renews your faith in humanity! I'm so glad your story had a happy ending too!

Congratulations!!! You go girl! I haven't ever smoked, but I know it's incredibly difficult b/c I saw my mom and dad and sister and brother and so many friends go thru it. Stay strong! Just think of how much healthier you'll be...and eventually, you'll forget about this hard time.....I know you will, b/c my dh smoked over 2 ppd 8 yrs ago....and he quit cold turkey! He is very happy he did!

Today's positive is that my furbabies are both being huge cuddlers and it makes me feel incredibly special.

My positive today is having a roof over my head! Its so cold and rainy and snowy and I am so grateful to have a nice, warm, dry house that is all mine!
