What is your favorite laundry scent?
 
Normally I use Tide/Downy Clean Breeze. I am using Tide Lavender and Vanilla right now.

I did buy some Gain Joyful Expressions... Mango and Apple, it wasnt bad.

Right now all the smells are killing me so its not any fun doing laundry when you are all stuffed up :(


I am also a FREAK bc all my scents have to match -- EXACTLY and nothing gets on my nerves more than to go to WalMart and they have the fabric softner but not the dryer sheets!?!?!!? Whats up with that?!?!!?!?!?!?!


PS.... can you tell I am doing laundry?

I LOVE the smell of laundry. I use Melaleuca Eco-Sense because it's the only thing that doesn't make me break out and it smells wonderful.

I did laundry today too :)

there are a lot of them that smell good, but, I can't smell it on the clothes once they're done drying..There used to be a really good smelling one years ago(can't remember the name of it), but, they no longer make it..you could smell it for like 2 days afterwards.

This reminded me of a funny story.
 
.....Years ago, we used to use something different (who knows?) but then switched to Cheer. My daughter (about 8 at the time) was helping me with laundry. She was "folding" her dad's underwear when she blurts out, "Wow, Dad's underwear smells just like Leslie." ...... ummmm..... Leslie is a girl married to one of his friends. :eek:

:) Nah, it's okay. .....She only knew that when we were with Leslie, Leslie smelled like Cheer to her.

I later asked Leslie what kind of laundry detergent she used, because I had a really funny story to tell her........

I LOVE the smell of Tide! Unfortunately, I am unable to smell it now.:(

I'm a Gain girl or Tide, cotton scent. downy cotton scent. I love the smell of fabric softener!!!!

I also have B&BW Eucalyptus-Spearimint Pillow spray, as well as a Lavender Vanilla sheet spray that I alternate!

My friend was a rep for the company or something..she would do a "party" which was more of a meeting, but you just signed up for a membership or something....gee, I should have paid more attention.

My all-time favorite laundry smell was when my now toddlers were babies and we used Dreft! Just thinking of it now brings back sweet memories....love that scent!!! :)

ooooh, I love the smell of Gain! Clean sheets, clean jammies washed in gain! (and Moose just bathed with J&J Baby Lavender wash)...HEAVEN. :animal-pa

I make my own laundry soap...it costs about a penny a load to do my laundry. My clothes smell clean and only clean. It is the best!!!

This is the recipe...it is really simple...and makes a lot of a gel type liquid. I've used it for about a year now and make it for family members. I don't have as much lint in the dryer and it gets out almost everything...including grease spots that have gone through the dryer. I just pretreat the area with the soap and wash with the next load....works great!!! You can add scent if you like. If you have any questions...feel free to post or pm me. I also make my own bar soap for showering...my last batch was lavender & peppermint...heavenly!!!!!

I use Seventh Generation and it doesn't have a scent. We use Bounce dryer sheets. I love Bounce.

By the way, I have the same scent matching deal when it comes to body wash/bubble bath and lotions. If I take a bath with lavendar bubble bath, I HAVE to use lavendar lotion.

oh yea im a freak like that too.... cucumber melon.. then its cucumber melon shower gel, lotion and body spray

I used that too when I was washing my neighbors clothes - tryin to get the smoke smell out. It did a good job but my problem is... no matching fabric softner or dryer sheets:eek:

I am addicted to fabric softener. I using Purex Concentrated Lavender Fresh detergent, and was using the Downy Simple Pleasures Lavender Vanilla sent for years. Then I decided to get the Downy Simple Pleasures Water Lily and Jasmine and I am ADDICTED. I used to use the Simple Pleasures detergent too but I tried the Lavendar sent in the Purex and I loved it. I am like you I use a whole cup of softener in every load no matter how much the stuff costs. My clothes HAVE to smell good and I am addicted to the smell....:excited:
