thanks! :) all the pictures ive posted on here have been taken with my simple point and shoot digital canon A620 camera. its the best one for taking the macro shots that i love. i do have a slew of other equipment for film..one automatic SLR pentax and one fully manual SLR old school canon and a few different lenses. i always told myself i would stay true to film, but ever since i got my little digital, i havent touched the film equipment exept when i am doing profetional photoshoots...even then i bring the digi just in case!

Understandable! I prefer digital. I never had a good film camera so digital is easier for me, and cheaper too! I like being able to see the results immediately so I can make adjustments if necessary. It helps me learn more I think.

I hope you keep using your skills. You are very talented, as are many here at YT! :)

What a cool thread!

I went to Italy in the summer of 2005, here are a few of my favorites.

I just love this one because it is in Pisa, my favorite place in Italy (so far).

This is the inside of the grotto at the Boboli Gardens behind the Pitti Palace in Florence. It was the home of the famous Medici family. That is supposed to be Anthony and Cleopatra in the center.

It was definitely a once in a lifetime chance.

My grandfather was stationed in Italy for 15 months during WWII. I went over there 60 years after he did, it was so cool to sit down with him and talk about the things we both saw.

Wow, I bet that was an awesome experience! Your grandfather must have been so happy to be able to share that with you.
