Chelsea...the thing about piercings and tats is that they are such an individual decision. I think it looks fantastic, but maybe get one a bit smaller...you have a very pretty face and the larger stone takes away from that. But, if your personality can carry off the larger stone, then I say rock it!

I wish that was my body now too! I've been eating like there's no tommorrow since I quit smoking and the tummys not so flat right now.:p Oh well, I'll diet later.:rolleyes:

i don't think it looks bad. I wouldn't get it done myself tho because i worry about the scar it will leave once its taken out.

thanks, and yes i know i will get one smaller but that was the only thing i could find remotely close to the size the ball will be. and also b/c it was a diamond it looked bigger with the flash of the picture ;)

yes kyle and kalina the only really concern i have is the scar it will leave. but i dont think it will leave a hole, my mom had it when she was younger (not a medusa, but her lip pierced) and said it closed right up when she took it out and you have to look hard for the scar b/c its a really tiny dot.

If you look like that after having a kid then a few pounds is going to go to all the right places...keep it up, your hubby is going to be lovin all over you! :D

If money isn't a concern, you could always just get it and if you don't like- just take it out. I've done that a few times and I have no visible scars!

thats what i plan to do, if i dont like it after a few days i will just take it out.

Ah, thats cool, I do too :rolleyes: But nowa days everyone is all pierced up! I think you should do it, if its something you are really sure about. Get it done and if you don't like it take it out right away and the chance of a scar is very little! :)

i want it NOW :D I think i'm not going to wait unil i get my braces off b/c i looked it up and everywhere says it wont interfere with them. so i think i'll just wait until my next orthodontist appointment and get it like the next day, that way i have a garanteed 6 weeks before i have people messing with my mouth.

is there a chance the back of the piercing will get caught in your braces? that would suck

that is what i was afraid of, but everywhere i looked it said they wouldnt bother each other. i even found a couple pictures of people with braces and the piercing :)

Chelsea, first off - you have serious guts haha. I'd never be able to do that. :p I'm not crazy about the way it looks in the middle like that, but off to the side it might look better? IDK, just a personal preference.

I'm not sure, i have to find the little sheet thing with the date on it. I hope its not to son b/c i need to get a little more money first lol. But I cant wait to get it! I am getting so many piercings lately, i just got my ear cartilage redone today b/c it closed up. and i'm getting my belly button within a week (birthday present from mom since she's been saying everyday since i was thirteen that i could get it at sixteen!) and then my lip. i'm gonna be so swollen! ;)

oh and i promise i will post pics the second i get it! :D

There was one thing I forgot to mention. My friend Stephanie got a piercing like that done, and after a while she took it out and she has a little hole where it was. I don't know if its common, but it happened to her.

it depends on how long you wait to take it out. i think its like a minimum of six months before you can take it out or something like that. and i am going to watch it for like a week to see how much i like it, and if i dont like it i'll just take it out :) cause i know it will definitely close up if i take it out that fast.

I do have one. It is a sensitive place to pierce, but it doesn't bother you at all afterwards.

P.s.

It doesn't matter how quickly you take it out for it to not leave scars, it depends on how resistant to scarring your skin is. I have many facial piercings, and all have left minor scars.

hey I have my medusa, It hurt like for two seconds..but the pain is worth it, it does make your eyes get a little watery..as if your squezing a pimple on your lip (my mate told me that and before I went to have it done i kept pinching the area to make me use to the pain..i think that made it hurt less). A trick of my mates when they get pierced is buying freeze spray for your throat with has local anasthetic, with all of their lip piercings they have sprayed it on the inside of their lip to stop the pain.

The only problem with the medusa is that it can swell up massivly on the second and third day but I never had that happen, mine has in all been really painless and really worth it :)

Another alternative is do it yourself, as the piercer did mine the first time a bit out of place (im a perfectionist with my piercings) I got a self piercing kit all sterile online, marked it up perfectly myself so it was bang in the middle, clamped it and let my boyfriend pierce it, it looks so cute and the pain either time was just like someone pinching my lip..it does make your eyes water but it doesnt hurt as much as the septum..and I would say it hurts less that a side piercing and even a navel piercing
