neighbor moved and left behind! Ok our neighbor just moved TO ANOTHER STATE AND LEFT THEIR CATS BEHIND!!! The really really really bad part is that they were inside cats and they have left them out in the below freezing with snow on the ground weather i have them in my spare bathroom right now i would keep them but my son and hubby are both allergic to cats i am not sure what they are one of them looks like a light colored siamese with longer hair and pretty blue eyes and the other one is shorter gray hair with peach running through it i do know that the grey one has been declawed and spayed but i don't think anything has been done to the other one oh yeah duh me they are both girls my dilemma is i don't want to take them to out humane society because it is overflowing with cats right now and even though they say no kill shelter the lady at the shelter told me that if they get to full that sometimes they have no choice but to put a few down :( So anyone have any advice on where else i can take these kitty's other than the humane society i mean is there a rescue type of place for cats like there is dogs? |
If one looks like a siamese then call them. They will probably take in the other cat too. |
What about Petsmart/Petco they will take them if they have room.Go there on a Sat/Sun and talk to the rescue qroups .Good Luck |
There used to be a place in Indiana that took in homeless cats. It was called Friends of homeless cats or something like that. I dont know if they are still in operation though. I would call the Humaine Society and see if they know |
UUGHHHH! I can't believe how heartless some people can be. I hope you can find a home/shelter for these poor cats. |
How in the name of heaven above can people be so cruel! Bless your heart, I do hope you find them homes soon so your hubby and son don't start sneezing. Try calling a few vets. Sometimes different organzations leave their calling card there for rescues. You just have to make sure they are actuall rescues and the cats don't get into the wrong hands. |
MAN ! how can people DO that ? I'd also report them - just to have it on record that they abondoned their pets with no shelter or food - what goes around comes around - I hope they can't sleep at night knowing what they did |
what were they thinking...report them and maybe put an add all over the internet so some1 would want to adopt them...i feel so bad how can pp be so cruel to their pets... |
Put up a posting on craigslist and screen ppl like you would for your own furbabies. If you seriously don't want them at the shelter.. Or ask around you never know your neighbors may want them. |
Could you drive the kitties to a no kill shelter farther away that has room? When my baby sister had to give up her rabbit, I drove him 4 hours to the nearest no kill shelter so that he would be safe. No one in my immediate area would take him in because they were all too full. My best suggestion is just to keep calling.. make a big list and go down it calling every shelter/rescue you can :) Bless you for taking them in! |
My heart just breaks thinking about those poor little guys... wondering, where their family is and why would they leave us like that... |
Maybe you might post pictures here and someone will fall in love ...? |
Thanks guys for all the amazing advice i am going to start in on calling vets now and then the humane society the the internet i am sure i will find them a nice loving home somewhere. If it were only sneezing then i wouldn't be as worried but it is way worse than that eyes watering itchy throat coughing headache like they have the flu or something when they hold one :( |

If i can get my daughter to help me i will try to get some pics of them in the next 30 min or so they are so pretty it makes no since for them to just be left behind :( |
