Missed pill and not sure what to do...Do I take yesterdays and todays...IDK, I HATE THIS CRAP...But medical conditions I cannot get preggers right now so I have to...anyways, anyone know what to do when you miss a pill? |
I don't know, I haven't missed a pill yet.. I don't know if you can doule up like that. Im sure someone in here has. |

If you only missed one, you should be ok. Take them both today, and it should be fine. You may want to use backup, but if it makes you feel any better, most pills are designed to tide you over for a couple days for this exact situation: in case you miss one occasionally. |
^^ Yep she's right. If you tend to miss pills try the NuvaRing. No pills!! I would spot if I didn't take mine at the exact same time every day (and sometimes even then) No spotting with the NuvaRing! |

You guys are all too good! I thought thats what I did. I was thinking getting that Y shaped thing called the Mirena done. I had a rare thing happen and I lost a baby and they recommended nothing that "stays" up there yet. But I am hoping sooner then later I will be able to have that choice! And thats up to 5 years then they have to replace it!! Question, if you don't mind me asking does or has anyone had a IUD done? |

Ok on the Mirna, my OB likes it. But you need to be aware of the bleed outs and the possibility that it will come out. It can fall out if your OB isn't careful and if your body starts to reject it. I've had 1 full term, 2 miscarriages, and a preemie and when my body started acting weird on the pill I read about the Mirena in the Redbook advertisement and questioned him on it. He was for it but I was scared because of the negative possibilities. He still recomended it stating that was for women with high blood pressure, more so for heavier set women, and something else but I forgot. I instead started taking the Seasonique. 3 months w/o a period then 1 wk for a period to happen.. I like it except for the occasional spotting i sometimes get. There is also a new pill out that you can take 365 days w/o a period and be perfectly fine. I just started those 2 days ago. |

I get the Depo Shot so i don't have to remember taking the pill. the good thing is i havent had period since 2002 when i got on the depo. the bad thing is it made me gained weight. especially in my face. and i can eat and still not feel hungry... i'm thinking of getting off. just been putting it off cause i dont want my period back :D |
When I was on the pill it said if I missed one pill, then the next day you would take that days pill and the missed pill, and use backup for 7days. Wow I can't believe I remember that! LOL |
Looks like you have all the answers. How can you forget it right before bedtime. OH that is when you get _______!!!!!! That would always remind me. I always took it right before bedtime. Put a sticky on your bathroom mirror or somewhere else you would look every night. |

i used the patch when i was on birthcontrol. its a good option if you dont want anything "stuck up there" and forget the pill often. i am now doing natural birthcontrol (calendar methood and basil body temp) i would highly recomend not getting the depo shot since it is one of the highest risk forms of birthcontrol. once its in you, you cant get it out...and it is also very unatural for a woman to not have a period ever...puts a huge stress on your hormones and body. just my opinion though |

I love love love the Mirena IUD, i had it put in in Nov. and it hurt like heck but i havnt gained any weight so far I actually have lost a few pounds:) I think everyone is different the only neg side effect for me was the constant spotting the first month and I had one Acne breakout a few weeks after insertion but it cleared in a few days;) |
you can take 2 on the same day. It says that you don't have to use protection in that case, but you can use just for peace of mind |
