it was a SLR 35 mm camera. Last I used the camera it worked fine. |
I think once you tell them that you tried to work it out, explain, what you offered the buyer.... paypal may be on your side, it takes a bit of time. Or as another YTer said ....call paypal ... You can talk to a person who is probably going to decide what happens. Tell them: THis is a fraudulent claim (cannot produce any pics or a repair quote) and that you have tried to work with the buyer. My husband has been an ebayer for years and this is how he has handled cheating buyers. Good luck. |

I'd certainly wouldn't want a bomb...that's for sure. Were your actual shipping charges 50 bucks? Meaning he is responsible for the cost of the return shipping and has spent whatever to return it. Someone trying to pull "a fast one" is not going to spend their own money....certainly not for the amount of money you're talking here. I just wouldn't give him any type of refund without some type of proof. Because of that...I'd make him send me the camera back. I wouldn't even explain WHY I'd elected to have him ship it back. It's standard policy...want a refund...send the item back. |
I had a dispute once, and after numerous emails to paypal I finally got my money back. |
I have agreed to refund him $25. It is better then papal refunding him the whole amount! I just want this guy to leave me alone. I will never sell outside the us again! |

Good no bombs then. ;) Jsyk...cause there are people in the US that'll pull this stunt, Paypal wouldn't have refunded his money until he returned the item to you |
oh girl that sucks !! I hope you work out this dispute - that guy should send the camera BACK to you and maybe you can see if it really is broken and if not - resell it. It sounds like he's just trying to get out of paying I've had nothing but good luck on Ebay but I only buy my label stock there - Funny you posted this cause the other day my usual guy was out of stock and I ordered thru another vendor and am really unhappy with how the printing looks on these labels..... so I'm going to take them to work with me and trade for some Avery labels till my guy re-stocks. it's funny how even something like office supplies can vary - I didn't leave a negative feedback to the seller but DID email him telling him the labels are so thin the pictures don't print well - I SHOULD send them back but it's hardly worth it A good site to sell on is Craigslist - I had to sell alot of things since my husband died :( and had only one person that I wasn't too crazy about. The only bad part was having strangers come to my house but I did sell almost everything I had listed. |

I'm just sending that guy $25 to end this dispute. I hate having my paypal account froze like that. |

I had this happen to me a year ago when I was selling my daughter's American Girl Doll Furniture. Paypal found for me in the dispute. I have 100% feedback and had documented everything, had pictures to show the piece of furniture was in excellent condition. Just document everything paypal asks for and as long as you sent to paypal approved address you should be ok. Stressful, yes but it will work out! Good Luck. I have pretty much quit selling on ebay though because the fee costs have gotten to high. |
