Man!! ya'll are making me HUNGRY!!!! surely wish i had me some fresh boiled okra,,or as its pronounced,, properly Southern,, Ok-rie!!! aaaaaahhhhhhhh now i gotta go find some supper here!! LOL

OK, my brother reminded me what I remember slimy okrie from.

My mom used to make sloppy joes by browning the hamburger and putting in a can of chicken gumbo soup. EEEEWWWW. Of course there were slimy little things in it which is what I remember the most. That was the only okra I remember until about a year ago when I discovered I liked it when it wasn't slimy.
