Would you believe when I moved to Michigan from Tennessee no one here ever heard of Okra & turnip greens!:eek: The family here all made fun of me when I would fry it. Finally I got my husband to try it.. HE LOVES IT! Now when we go to Cracker Barrell he has to get it every time. .The Turnip greens too! Don't knock it till you try it!:p

Guilty - I'm an okra lover :) I am from North Carolina so it is a summer staple on the dinner table. I found the pickled okra here in California at a specialty shop and have fallen in love with it pickled also.

My mom used to give me some soup when I was little and it had okra in it. It might have even been canned soup.:eek: Anyway - the okra was totally slimy and gross - so I hated it till about a year ago.

That's good info. I was just wondering about the nutritional value of okra. I think I will try planting some this year and see if I can get them to grow.

I really have to say, I LOVE YT!:love: It is the only place that you can go to find about anything you need to know! I mean anything! Okra! or Okrie what we call it in Tennessee, you can find recipes for homemade dog food, every kind of recipe you want of People food, if have family problems.. lots of Great advice, not forgetting.. the wonderful kind people you meet and chat with on YT, I have a wonderful friend now in Debra from Scotland. She is so sweet! Sex problems? shoot someone on here will have suggestions and help with that too! We have even had Ghost post, very interesting in deed! If your baby is sick. .then come to YT and somewhere you can find what might be wrong and get the help and solace you need. You can be lonely and just come on YT an before you know your laughing or crying .. Pictures of everyones baby sure brightens my day! Well, you can see pictures of everyone's Skinkids also. Newborn (Shanatink) your baby girl Tess is the most beautiful little girl I have every seen! Lets see, there is breeding, whelping, feeding, Grooming, and and this is the best place I have ever found to have The Great Seamstresses on here! I must say... I have almost bought from all of you.. if not.. give me time! :p Gift exchanges.. I throughly enjoyed! you find out about other interesting places, Diseases , furkind and people kind, Gosh there is still so more.. so much more..
