| Questions to NYC Broadway lovers By the way.... do theaters check inside your bags? I am heading to NYC again this weekend.. I am wondering if I could go to some musicals... Haruka is usually good in the bag, but I wasn't sure if they check bags.... I definitely wouldn't leave Haruka in the hotel.

| I've been to many of the popular shows and don't think I've ever seen a bag check or any type of security like that. Might be a little loud Haruka though.

| I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd be willing to bet MeganS has been to her share of these events and would be a good one to ask. |

| We have been to Phantom, Les Mis, etc. They all checked bags going into the theater when we were there. They just took a quick peak inside as you walked in the door.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Hm, you know, I don't think I'd bring her. They don't always check bags, but there are signs that say they're allowed to check any bags they want to. At a lot of shows, they'll check big bags - like tote bags and things of that sort. I think it would be too loud for her. The music is SO loud and a lot of times there's different sounds that she might not like, like in a lot of shows there are gunshots and things like that. and plus, you can't take her outside to potty. And its always possible that people will come in late and they might accidently kick the bag or something. I just don't think a show is a place for dogs. Just my opinion, of course!

| I have to agree with MeganS. The theatre may be too traumatic. I have brought my dog to weddings, christenings, funerals and surprise birthday parties. Yesterday he went to the dentist. Remi is so quiet in his pocketbook carryall that no one knows he is there unless I tell them. I can highly recommend Jersey Boys if you can get tickets. It is a terrific show! Enjoy your trip! |

Besides, you might be so worried about your baby, you will miss the show. Good Luck!

I also wanted to say that IF Haruka were to even yip, the ushers would be on top of you like...in .06 seconds. Its not worth the risk, IMO. PS - how long will you be there? Mom and I will be in the city on Monday.

| Hmmmm.. I am not worried in the way that people are describing.. in terms of Haruka... I spoil her to death... and she literally comes with us everywhere... She doesn't seem to mind at all any loud noise... She is very good being in her bags. We fly often, and she can stay in the bag for long long time. Even at home, she chooses to be in the bag for so many hours too. So I am not worried about all that. She is really good and she would rather be with me in the bag.. it seems. Only thing is that I don't want to buy expensive tickets and ended up having my bags checked and being escorted out. That will be thing. Even my bag definitely doesn't look like a dog carrier. I have been amazed how great she has been in different environment. It reminds me of the Pet Partner (Therapy dog) test.. where she had to *not react* to any crazy noises...it was funny in the way to see people trying to make noises to scare Haruka. I may have to pass the show, but I guess I should try watching in Boston.

| I am planning to drive on Sunday... and staying around NYC until Monday night... then heading to Philly to meet my dearest friend. She is a nun in New Mexico.. (my mom's age too) and she comes to a conference every year, so I try to make it there to see her... SO I get to treat her all day!
