Surely I am not the only person bored at home tonight? All the other boards I post on are dead too.

So I'm not completely alone!

What kind of cookies are you baking? I love baking, but after making 10 kinds in a couple days, I'm pretty much baked out... at least until Monday wheen the family comes.

I know, it seems kind of slow! I just got home from a holiday party, so maybe that's where everyone is. I'm not typing too well, I think I must have had one glass too many..hehe
My son is playing playstation and my husband is watching him, so I was wayyyy bored. I have a Yorkie on either side of the laptop! I probably should be baking cookies or something too, but I'm just tired of sweets already.

I made a couple dozen snickerdoodles, some oatmeal with cranberries and walnuts and another batch of oatmeal with cranberry/walnut and white chocolate chips. Tomorrow I'll bake some beer bread and make the chipotle dip...I'll make the broccoli/raisin salad and my famous deviled eggs..then I'll be done

I usually have tons of jobs this time a year for holiday parties and such (i babysit), but its been incredibly slow month, which also means an incredibly broke month

I know what you mean about being tired of sweets. The day afterr I made most of my goodies I thought I was going to puke, b/c I had eaten so much sugar the day before, but I had to make sure it tasted good before I sent it.

Sounds yummy. I made snickerdoodles for the first time this year. They are sooo yummy. I also made haystacks, pralines, spritz cookies, Key Lime cookies, cheese straws, and mini pecan tartlets

The person I was making it for is allergic to chocolate, so i had to try some new recipes this year.

I've always wanted to try to make beer bread, but I never have.

Hi guys...I am here just barely. I am laying in bed watching TV. We drove from Charlotte to Waynesville, NC today to my Mom's. I am very tired and getting very sleepy. Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day....church in the morning, then back to my Mom's for Chritsmas lunch, then we are opening Christmas presents, then to my Grandparents to open gifts then to my in-laws for dinner and opening gifts. Sooooo tomorrow is going to be crazy.

Well...I was in the hospital last weekend and I'm not back to 100% yet so I'm cheating on the beer bread. I use the Pampered Chef mix for that and the chipotle dip...and if I don't dicipline myself I could make a whole meal of just that! I love to bake but I think I'm at my limit for how I feel so maybe next year I'll do more.

I am here, I just watched the news, and a heartwarming story.

A grade 3 class wrote letters to SaNtA. One little girl DrEamED Big, and said she knew her parents could not afford what she wanted but she could dream.

The mananger of a drug store bought her the gift and delivered it to the school, it was a computer with a printer and what ever she needed to make her wish come true.

It sure hit me like a ton of bricks. It was a pretty tear jerking story at this time of the year. To hear of such a heartwarming thing this time of year is so nice.
I guess that is what it is all about. This child will never forget this christmas ever!!!!!

I've been known to be pretty hard hearted, but seeing stuff like that makes me boohoo like a baby.
