| I'm so proud of Ethan As some of you may or may not know, my son Ethan is autistic. Well for the last several years I knew that he was extremely more high functioning than most of the kids in his moderate class. We he was re-evaluated just about a month ago. He is now in the 6th grade middle school. This was his first evaluation since he was 3 1/2 years old and then his diagnosis was severe well know his diagnosis is mild and he will be starting a new class at a new school after the holidays. I'm so excited for him and a little scared. He has come such a long way since his initial diagnosis. He has a wonderful teacher right now and she has been really challenging him academically which is what we have been trying to get them to do for the past 2 - 3 years. So everyone pray for us that he has a smooth transition. He has actually be doing 6th grade science and social studies and taking tests and has been doing very well. He can still name all the planets in order and it was sometime in Sept. when he study that. Sorry for rambling on but, I'm just so proud of him that I had to share it with everyone. Hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thanks for reading.

| Oh Im soooo happy for you! your story hits close to home, my son was diagnosed at age 3 as autistic too, so I do know your fears and struggles, and now your joy! my experience is a little different than yours but you are free to PM me if you like and I can explain to you how my son is doing, even if you just need someone to talk to who can relate My son is turning 7 next month and is in regular ed and now they say he was misdiagnosed. such a long story and I don't want to make this thread about my experience...its about Ethans accomplishments!!! Im so happy for you both
