| Been away a while Things been busy for me lately. My 94 year old Mother will be coming to live with me later this month. I have been making a lot of preparations for her. Shuffled bedrooms, painted rooms, moving stuff. Shuffeling other stuff to the workshop, I won't have room for. Its pretty much been non stop for me since she said she wanted to live with me. I will have to go from Mobile, AL to Austin Tx to get her too. Its about 10-12 hour drive. She moved out there with my niece and her husband in 2002. They are now getting a divorce. Going to be a long drive, and a rocket trip for me. We leave here Dec 27. Load her stuff the 28th, and make that long drive back Dec 29th. And when I get her back, I'll probably be pretty busy for a while too. Getting her settled, new doctor visits, priest she used to see before she moved coming to welcome her back. Piles of friends of hers coming by. And getting someone thats 94, partially blind aquainted with where things are around my home. I love my Mom dearly, and there is nothing I wouldn't do for her! I know I will love having her here with me! Its so hard to make that trip to see her, with 2 yorkies. The drive is rough on me nowdays, and leaving her there each time when I start back home, tears me to pieces. And this year, Mardi Gras starts early January! I love Mardi Gras, and hate to miss a parade. Looks like I'll be busy for some time! I will try to drop by YT when I can. |

| My 85 year old mom lives with me too. We went through combining our "houses", mostly me getting rid of enough things to get her things in. It's been 6 years and she is doing well. I wish you luck, it will be a hard trip - I remember the trip getting her and all her things here, it was not easy. Drive safely!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | You will not ever regret having her move in with you. I took care of my Mom until she passed in March and I had a 1 year and 3 months of seeing her everyday and being able to help her and pay her back in the smallest way for everythung she did for me and my dtr. I now take care of my 88 year old Dad with dementia and it is very frustrating at times but I can not put him in a home until it becomes impossible to take care of him in his apartment. I hope your trip goes smoothly and your Mom's transistion is an easy one.
