A lot of these sound good but when do you add the frosting, after you bake the cookies? Srry stupid question but ve never made cookies before. Also are these for the smooth, shiny frosting that stays on and they dry? |
I just did sugar cookies.. here's my icing recipe.. 2 cups powder sugar 1 teaspoon of almond extract 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine pinch of salt 1 egg white food coloring and sprinkles to your liking Mix it all at once in a bowl. Good luck and enjoy |
Add the frosting when the cookies are still warm. That is the best time. You can also do it when they are cold but best if still warm. I also put wax paper over my cookies after a few minutes to prevent any sticky fingers, bugs or lint or anything else flying around in the air to land on them. |
