Here we are coming to you, New York City!

I think NYC is one of the best city to visit with my girl. Many stores (I like) have been dog friendly. We are going there next weekend. We are excited.

I am sure I have asked before. My challenge in NYC is that there are so many stores.... I haven't found dog boutique that I really liked yet. So I am looking for suggestion.

I am sure many of you have visited the NYC before. Any suggestions will be really appreciated. We have to get her some nice Christmas gifts :)

The Canine Ranch - it's on 72nd just south of Columbus. Same side of the street as the Dakota. :)

No suggestions, but have FUN! I can't wait to get back to NYC! Last time I was there was 3 years ago -- I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria but I didn't have any furbabies at the time! I bet NYC is sooooooo fun w/our furbutts! :)

There are lots in NY it just depends how far you are willing to go and what areas you will be visiting.

in the city will be nice but we will drive in the city so any place in Manhattan.
We probably stay right outside of Lincoln Tunnel. toward NJ. Near Weehawken or something.. not sure yet.

I live in NYC and out of all the stores that I have been to here my favorite is The New York Dog Shop and its located on 72nd and Columbus Ave. It is a small shop but they have the biggest selection of xxs clothes i have seen. Another store is trixie and peanut. Besides that, I dont recommend any other stores. Hope you have fun here in NYC, the greatest city in the world!!!

I love taking Milo into NYC.

Last time we went, just before T-Giving, my sis and nephew were visiting and at the end of the night ended up at Johhny's Pizza in the Theatre district.

It was very cold and I waited outside with Milo while they ordered our pizza to go.

My sis decided to ask if I could come in with a tiny dog in a bag---they said YES!

We ate our pizza at the bar and enjoyed a couple of pints. Milo stayed in the bag, on his own stool with his head popped out.

He got lots of attention and no one disapproved. If only it could be done everywhere. Sigh

*Note to other visitors* As long as they're in a bag, Metro-North Railroad, subways and busses are no worries.:cool:

I have also yet to find any shop where Milo was unwelcome.

I hope you have fun here! I agree Trixieandpeanut has the largest selection of clothes i have seen, they are on 21 st. i think but you can just go to their website for the address. I have been to a couple of other dog boutiques that are really nice but i have to go look for the addresses, if anything i will PM you:)

Ok i just found 3 little ones, if you plan on going way downtown. There is Ritzy Canine at 148 east 40th street. NYC 100016. They have nice clothes there. There is also the Paw stop at 21 murray street, bet. Broadway and church street. You can take the 1 and get off at chambers street and you walk like 2 blocks. And then there's Han Nari, which i LOOOVE this store. I haven't actually been to this one in the city but suposedly they just opened it and i have the address so i think you should check it out. I have only been to the one in Long Island. NEway it's at 159 Prince street 10012 and their # is 212-228-1123, i would call before just to check if their open:) But they have the best clothes! K there's tons of others but right now those are the only i have the addresses for

OMG! I love Han Nari! Their girl stuff is so cuuuuuttee.

OMG I didnt mention Han Nari because its all the way out in Island and she said she would be staying Jersey. But I absolutely love that store, I will be there on Sunday to purchase Abby a new bed!

MizzWanned I am gonna have to check out those stores u mentioned. Havent been to them and I have been to a lot of satores here in the city, they just dont have things i like. but good to know.

They now have a Han nari in the city which i plan to go checkout soon:) Except it's called Harness dog

Okay.. I am here in NJ... heading to NYC... Oh my goodness.. yesterday we left Boston at 10 a.m. and supposed to be here by 3:30 p ish if there were no snow... We arrived in NYC at 7:30 p. It took us 9 and half hours!!!!!! Thank goodness that we didn't get in accident. We saw about 50 cars in CT that were crushed, skidded, towed. I pray for all these people who got in accidents..

I wish han Nari's website shows the NYC location, but I probably will give them a call. All other stores, I wrote them all down :) Thank you everyone.

Today my bf is having Executive MBA's interview...then in the afternoon, we will start shopping. We are planning to go to SOHO. There is a Japanese clothing store (big one) called Uniqulo. I love that store. Then Muji, a Japanese stationary/furniture...and all kinds stuff store :) If we have more time, we will head to pet shops hopping. If not we are going to do that tomorrow. Tomorrow I need to make sure to go to a couple pet stores if I cannot make it today. Then I will go to Mitsuwa, Japanese shopping mall in Edgewater, NJ.

Last night - New Green Bo on Baynard street in Chinatown.. Yummy I love this place.

Tonight; Yakitori Taisho in East Village: I cannot leave NYC without going this place.

I hope to stop by Rockefeller Center for tree tonight :)

We have to leave tomorrow but I hear that we have a second storm... hmmmm we have to rethink about that but we have to be in Boston and go to work on Monday....

Wow... Han Nari is in SOHO!!! my goodness.. so many japanese stores are opening in SoHO!!! :) Woohoo!

MichiKo, did u try calling the SOHO Han Nari store? I tried calling yesterday and I got an answering machine. I dunno if it is open or not. But like I said always call these stores before you go. But def The New York Dog Shop on the Upper West Side and Trixie and Peanut in downtown are open for business. I hope you have blast. And remember try getting your shopping done today we are having another big storm here tomorrow!! HAVE FUN !!!!

I actually called han nari in long island and she told me that soho store opened last year and opened at 11am to 7 PM. I will try to stop by as I am going to soho and I will let you know.r

Just for you to know :) We went to Han Nari. I forgot the name, but the name at store was different but they carry Han Nari stuff... it was a pretty nice store :)
