I got electricuted I'm Ok - I think. Just shaken. My middle finger and ring finger on my right hand has a small burn and my right arm and shoulder hurt. It scared the crap out of me and made me cry, but other than that I think I'm ok. I was plugging the lamp back in and when I did the part where the cord connects to the plastic think that you hold when you plug it in, exploded. Mike is on his way home, but I really do think I am OK. It just scared the pee out of me - quite literally. :( |
Bless your heart, I know how it is though, I did it the other day but I'm too ashamed to explain the story but I grabbed a uncovered wire to something that was plugged into the wall. |

I'm pretty sure I'm alright. It just scared me really bad. It just burned my fingers and shot straight up my arm. My arm and shoulder hurt. I figure they will be sore for a day or two. |

yep, sounds like you were electrocuted. That has happened to me a few times, thankfully with a very weak charge, and each time I felt it up through my elbow and my shoulder. Glad you are ok! |

OMG Are you sure you are ok, Maybe you should go get checked out to be safe, I was shocked by a blow dryer once and beleive me, i know how scary that is. |

Once I was electrocuted by my blow dryer, actually by faulty wiring, it singed off my hair, and caused me to have a heart palpatation, there is no harm in being to careful and getting checked out. |
Oh gosh! Hope you are ok! I was painting and got paint on my outlet and it was oozing into it so stuipidly I grabbed a wet washcloth to wipe it up. A huge zap later, I realized water and outlets really *don't* mix, silly me =/. Please go get checked out if you're worried <3 |
So glad you are OK...I got shocked like that when I was a child. It's so long ago I don't remember what i was doing...but I bet it was something I shouldn't. Think today though I'd get checked out. |

Wow! That's so scary. I'm glad you're alright. I stuck a hair clip in an electrical outlet when I was a toddler. I still remember the feeling of the electricity going through my arm and body and my mom rushing me over to the neighbor's house (don't remember why we there, but we did...) |
You need someone to keep an eye on you for the next 6 to 8 hours. Your heart can show a reaction for awhile after an incident like that. Please get checked out if you notice anything out of the ordinary. My husband is trained in electrical safety, and that's one of things they drill into you. Sorry you had that happen! Hugs!! |
Good lord Girl!:eek: Are you ok? You be careful out there!!! Here's a little trivia....Did you know that CPR was originally developed to help the linemen who worked on the electrical poles. the electricty would stop their hearts when they got hit and it was used to resuscitate them... not really save 99 year old people with pneumonia only to end up on a ventilator...or sorry dont get me going...lol:rolleyes: |

My doctor's office is closed, but I called the ER and they said as long as I could move everything OK, I wasn't smoking (?!), and my heart seemed ok (not racing, or hadn't stopped - how would I be talking to them if it stopped? :rolleyes: ) and I was breathing, then I didn't need to come in. I told them my arm was hurting and they said as long as I could still move everything Ok then it was alright. If I notice anything out of the ordinary I will definitely go in. |
