THE most awkward thing EVER just happened to me!!! I had ordered chicken strips from Papa Johns, because I'm trying to write this HUGE research paper for tomorrow...and when the guy came to the door I almost jumped backwards about 20 feet.

It just so happens that he is a man who molested me and tried to rape me a couple years ago!!!!! And there I was, standing there alone with with him...and I live in a cabin in the woods...

I don't think he noticed who I was...LUCKILY...but OH MY GOD I am SOOO freaked out right now!!!!!!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:

holy CRAP. wow. i can't believe he would be allowed to have a job like that!!! was he convicted? wow....i would be freaking out too!!

Oh my goodness, I would be freaked out too! That is sooo strange. I hope he didnt realize it was you....Im sending good thoughts and hope that you will be safe. Maybe invite a friend over if you feel weird?

you know, i would almost call papa johns and tell them about it. if i owned a company like that...i would not be sending a man like hiim out to people's houses!!!!!!!!!

Oh my God! that must've been horrible and pretty scary. :( I can't believe that he was allowed to have a job like that. So sorry!

Well, it's a long story...but No...I actually never told anyone except one of my guy friends (who actually came and "rescued" me and is now my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years)...I reached into my purse beside the bed and sent him a text message that said "help" and he lived in the same complex as me so he ran over. Thank god he was there that night...:(

OMG! I would call Papa John's right away and tell the manager. Don't they do criminal background checks on their delivery people? It's pretty scary to think that rapists are ringing your doorbell!

They would think I was nuts...because I never called the cops or reported him...

I KNOW I should have and trust me, I regret it...and that's another part of what makes it so scary...because he probably knows I'm scared to death of him...

I hope he doesn't come back...:eek:

Have you called the police. I definetly would, and it's not a bad idea to get a friend to come over and stay with you. Please be safe. I'll be praying for you.

heck, i would tell them anyway. you dont have to give your name or anything like that. and block your phone number. but wether the cops were called or not, they need to know who they are sending into people's homes.

that's true...I hope he hasn't done anything to anyone else...but for all I know he IS convicted because someone else reported him...no clue...

but what if he finds out I called the cops on him and he comes after me?? :confused:

Call the police and ask for extra drives by your house tonight. Let them know why and then call Papa John's and tell them what type of man they have working for them. I seriously doubt they will keep him on the payroll because its a serious risk for them to be sending a jerk like that to ppls homes.

Make sure all your doors, windows and everything is locked up securely tonight. Make sure you have access to a close friends phone number on speed dial who can come over as quick as possible and keep your phone close incase this jerk comes back.

don't call the cops if you are scared of that. just call his work and tell them. they need to pull him from that job!!!!!!!!! put him in the kitchen if they have to!!!!!!!!!! but don't let him go into people's homes.

you live alone? gosh...i wouuld be scared to live alone even if that hadn't happened to me....is there anyone that can stay with you? or somewhere you can stay for a while?

No...none of my friends live here anymore...my sister used to live with me but she moved out...and my family and b/f are all back home in Winston (about 2 hours away). I have 3 phones here...and everything is locked up...I just checked about 10 times! Everytime I think about this it makes me freak out even more!!!!!! He could have easily pushed past me through the door!!! Maybe he thought someone else was here because I have the tv on...plus the dogs were all barking...oh crap...:sickie:

I don't know what to say..... please, please be careful....this guy now knows where you live. I don't want to freak you out but please make sure your home is secured, doors and windows locked and turn on your outside lights. I would think about carrying pepper spray too. Is there a support group or hotline you could call and ask them what to do since you never reported this horrible crime?

I just found a big piece of wood that came off a shelf...and I intend to use it if I have to...

yes, pepper spray is better than nothing. ace hardware carries it if you have one anywhere near.

I have no idea...I wouldn't think they could anything now, because it happened over 2 years ago...I think there's a clause or something

i'm sure there is a hotline you can call and ask for advice. it shouldn't matter how long ago it was...people need emotional support for a very long time ater stuff like that. i'm sure you are not the only one that didn't report something and then needed some help later.

if they could give you some pointers as to how to be safer, that would be worth the phone call.

very true.

i'm sure the cops would patrol your area tonight and for the next few nights. when we have problems around our rental properties, we call the cops and ask for extra patrol for a few days and they gladly provide it.

I'm really considering it now...I think I'm going to go curl up in the bed and watch tv with my munchkins for awhile to calm down...they always make me feel better...:(

well, i hope the best for you. just stay strong and try not to worry too much. but if you don't feel safe...call someone!! even if you dont want to call the cops, stay on the phone as much as possible..friends...family...boyfriend...whatever. make sure they know what is going on (if they knew about it) and this way, if he does show up, you will be on the phone and they can hear what is happening.
