where can I see what it is???? Is it good for those stains we hate to have???? http://www.thane.com/products/housew...mop/h2omop.php just googled it ... wow, it is 100$ plus 15$ S&H, it better be good, give us a review if you get it .... does it work good on tile??? |
Oh i've been wanting one of those |
I was just wonder that my self:rolleyes: |
Well hopefull someone can tell us if it works as well as they say it does. |
Yeah It looks really great on tv!! |
A friend of mine bought one so I borrowed it. It does work well! Then someone told me about a similar steam mop by the company Shark that retails for the same price (except it doesn't do carpets)....I like it better! The shark mop is lighter to carry around, and I like that it doesn't blow steam conitnuoulsy (sp?) and becuase the steam only comes out when you push forward, I find the floors dried considerably faster than the H2o mop did ( I figur, If I have to wait taht long for it to dry, I might as well still use my mop). So....I like the Shark one better...love it in fact! I hated doing my floors (I have dark hardwood that shows every speck of dust and smudge). Now It's no big deal to clean the floors, even a couple of times per week. I also notice that the room Tia's pee pads are in doesn't smell like it used to (not that it ever smelled too bad...I clean it often....it just smells cleaner now). |

Cool I was hoping someone had used it or something similar.. Sounds like I should see about getting one soon. thx for the info. |
I have not used one yet but I put the Shark on my Christmas List.:D I saw a commercial about it and I really liked it. It does not do carpet's but it comes with an attachment to steam the carpets to spruce them up a bit. |
OH man....this thing looks super cool. I just bought a Hoover steam vac and I like it but do not LOVE it. It is heavy and not a cool as this thing. I may have to order this one instead. Murphy and Mia still have some accidents on my floors so this would be perfect. Plus I have TONS of tile and can never get my floors or my tile REALLY clean. Do they sell it in stores or only on line? |
I've been wanting one of these for so long! My entire house has hardwood flooring and my mop is just not cutting it for me lately. |
As far as I have seen, the h2o mop can only be oreder online www.thane.com. The Shark steamer can be ordered through their website, but is also available in stores (I live in Canada, and found it at Canadian Tire). |
my question would be if there is a pet accident on the floor and it absorbs it , how do you keep from spreading it? or do you have to keep changing the pad out? |
I had never even heard of the h2omop until seeing this thead, and have been googling that one and the shark steam cleaner. I was thinking I could get one for my daughter for Christmas since she just got hardwood floors, and after all the reading, I think I want one too...but I've heard better about the shark than the h2o one. One thing I read on pro's and con's was that some say it streaks their floor or makes a floor look dull after using it. I guess that with repeated use the floor looks better as it is taking up the built up cleaning solution that is on the floor. I went to amazon to where they are selling the shard for $79.99 and they are out of stock. Ugh. |

The first time I used the steam mop, the only room that the hardwood seemed "dull" was Tia's room where her pee pads were. That was the only room where I was using a cleaner on the floor (everywhere else I was using a rag wrung with very hot water, so no residue was left behind). After a couple of routine cleanings the hardwood in that room now hsines like the rest of the house. I know I sound like an ad for this thing, but I love it! I have dark maple floors with satin finish and it's been a pain in the butt trying to find something that cleans thoroughly and relatively easily. I've spent money on swiffer wet jet, micro fiber clothes (which do work really well actually but seems to require more effort than the mop), fancy hardwood cleaning solutions. By far, the Shark steam mop is the easiest way and I love that I'm not using any harmful chemicals taht could hurt Tia or my baby cousins when they come to visit. Tia is actually afraid of my steam mop :p I accidentally dropped it twice (my fault for not leaning it on the wall properly) so now she runs whenever I pull it out. At least she doesn't get aggressive about it! Ahe even leaves me alone when I'm doing my regular swiffering! What a relief! |
I am so glad to hear the good reviews!! It is on my list! :) |
Good luck in finding one. I just checked Target.com for the shark stem vac and they are out of stock...so is our store here. Amazon is out of stock too. Hey...I better check ebay! |

I bought one last night on ebay...the shark steam mop. Had to pay a little more than Target price, but Target couldn't guarantee them being here by Christmas. I got this one for my daughter. I'll wait till after Christmas to look for one for myself! If I'd never seen this thread, I'd not even know about them, so thanks for starting the thread! |
The infomercial makes it look like it works really well. |

Santa came through for me and I got the Shark Steam Mop! I LOVE IT! Really love it. It's amazing. No more on my knees scruping tile. I would highly suggest it to anyone who has tile or laminated floors. My two bathrooms, kitchen and dinning room and hall is done in 15mins! Now that's time saving to me. |
I got one too and I absolutely love it! It's so fast and so easy and quiet. I got the Shark. I wish they'd had these when my Mom was alive. It would have been so perfect for her. |
OK - I can't believe I found this thread..hehehe...I just happened to have just purchased the H20 steam mop through the website this morning. Once I get it and try it I'll post in here to let you all know how it works. I really wanted it for my laminate floors and my ceramic tile in the bathroom but what really sold me was that little attachment where you can steam your carpets. :D |
My mom ordered it, I'll have to call and ask her if she likes it! |
I think I want/need one!! I would probable go with the Shark...and I am glad to see that it works on wood floors (since that is all we have). I wish I had seen this thread back in December...I would have put that on my Christmas or birthday list!!! |
