Nintendo Wii Has anyone had any luck finding the Nintendo Wii console? I decided to try and get one for my dtr and of course they are impossible to get unless you want to pay double what it costs and I don't. A walmart 30 minutes away had 26 come in today but by the time I got there they had just sold out! |
The best way to get one is to find out what day the shipments come in (ask an employee) and be there first thing that morning. It's how DH and I got ours. Good luck!! |
I tried to find some too and they were sold out walmart, kmart and gamestop said to try back wednesday or thursday Good Luck! |
The Wii ROCKS!!! I got one when they first came out and I love it. Its the best game console by far on the market. |
This must be a really popular game, because quite a few people here are looking for them. I hope you get one. I remember when my kids were small there was always one present that I had to stand and wait for hours to get. Glad they've outgrown that. |
I know Toys R US gets them Sunday Mornings. I got one for my nephew, and I was told to get to TRU at 3am! Yes! The bars were just closing and I was at TRU at 3am! When I got there, there were 12 people in line already! UGH! So about 7am, the manager came out and said they got in 14 games. And he passed out the slips to the 1st 14 of us! Phew! I was lucky! So, I got to go sit int he car til 8am, thats when the store opened (I think~) and bought it~ But there were about 25 people also in line who weren't so lucky. So get there early!! Good Luck! |

they're crazy to get. it took me a month to finally find it, every weekend i'd go to just about every store in the area. it's so worth it though |
Go to Target. We just walked in one day and got one. It might be harder now, but I just saw some there. |

We got ours at Target several months ago. The kids had had several gift cards saved up between their birthdays and Christmas, and since we couldn't touch one around christmas last year, we just waited. I started by calling every morning between 9-11am (when they get their shipments in) and asking if they had gotten any. After a while, I forgot to call everyday, and it was about once a week. I lucked out one day and went in with the kids, and let them buy one at regular price ($249). I can't believe some people are willing to pay $500. I also thought it was sad that on Thanksgiving, people were lined up all night long at Kmart to buy one at regular price. Now, I'm on the lookout for Guitar Hero for the Wii. They retail for $89, but they're going for about $150 shipped on ebay. |
On Friday I was in eb games at 9 ish and they had a ton, but I am sure they are all gone now. |
My bf got one for his son at this little video game store here locally with three games. But when i was at target on saturday one person was buying 2 of them didnt look like there was a mob either to get them. They had them for $249.99 just for the console |

We were going to get the Wii last year for our boy's but we did not get till April! Every time a store would get some in it would be like 10 per store. I was so glad when we were finally able to get one! I did not think that they would be so hard to get yet again this year! Do you have a Sam's Club by you? They had a large amount the last time we were in. Good luck getting your's it is fun to play!! |

They can be hard to find around here, too. They sell out fast this time of year. Last year I did something I said I would never do... sit outside a store and wait for them to open :o Well, we all had fun in the freezing cold weather - eating donuts... but they gave out numbers and they ran out 2 people before me. :( Anyway... I gave my son a card for Christmas telling him he would get his Wii as soon as I could find one. He is an adult and it was so fun watching his anticipation. When I called and told him to come over cause I had something he wanted, he was over in a flash. :rolleyes: It was worth the wait to see his excitement! |
Yay!!!! My sister found me one at Target!!!!!!! She got the console. an extra controller with 9 games and a numchucks for 340.00. |
We have a Wii, we got it the first day it came out. It is a really great gaming system, it is our favorite by far. Now we are trying to get as many games as we can get. You won't be disappointed!! Good luck, I hope you find one!! |

We just bought one yesterday and it was pure luck that it was found my sister stopped by the electronics dept @ walmart and it was the last one they had I said grab it put it in your basket and don't take your eyes off of it I then had to make a mad dash 30 mins away but we now have it and I can't wait till christmas morning to see the look on my kids faces :D ! |
Are people STILL looking for these? Wow...I got mine a long time ago...it's fun but I'm not that impressed with some of the games...I'm not sure it lives up to all the hype...:( I never play mine anymore... |
Have you looked on Amazon? I think they had quite a few on there. I just got mine, it was the last one in the Navy Exchange. Lucked out! |

I lucked out and got one at walmart a couple weeks ago..of course now I want guitar hero and cant find it anywhere...but after Christmas I am sure it will be much easier to find one. I hope lol...can anyone that already owns one recommend some good games to buy??? Dawn |
