Anyone else hate commercials? I just saw my 10,000th Charmin commercial about those stupid bears sh**ing in the woods and I just hate that so bad. I mean, not only do we have to be subjected to first pappa bear with his little roll of Charmin hanging on a tree branch, but a few months later they added brother bear and now it's momma bear teaching baby bear how much tp to use!!??? How assinine!! And that 'less is more' theme music, oh my gosh, if I hear that again I will go insane!! Sorry, just had to vent on something way off topic!! Anyone else hate commercials? Which ones make ya wanta kick in your TV, lol?? |
You crack me up! I am rolling on the floor in laughter here!! :D I like the commercials with the dogs, any dogs. Especially the ones that they make look dancing or talking. They make me smile! :p Next time I see that Charmin commercial I will be thinking of you and laughing all over again, too funny... ;) |
Personally, I hate all commercials, but my least favorites are the Dollop of Daisy ones and the Velveeta commercial (Put velveeta in, leave the cheddar out, mix the salsa, in pop it in, and pull it out, etc.) They just get caught in my head and I can't stand them!! There are only a few commercials that I actually enjoy or that make me laugh. :D Just like Schatzie's Mama, I love commercials with dogs, especially the Purina puppy chow commercial where they show all different kinds of puppies (they show Yorkies!!) and I love the Kibbles and Bits commercials with the dogs that dance. LOL :D |
Im also tired of the charmin commercial. I love commercial with dogs in them also. I usually channel surf during commercials thou, :rolleyes:. Next time I see that charmin commercial it will remind me of you Cynthia. :) |
The evil Charmin commercial, I HATE that thing so much! And I hate jingles, they usually get stuck in my head and I can't sleep b/c some stupid song is circling my brain! grrrr...... your description of the Charmin commercial is hilarious! I had a really crappy day so it doesn't take much to tick me off right now! Hope I don't see the Charmin commercial! You know what other commercial really creeps me out? The Quizno's commercial with the talking baby. I find it odd in a scary sort of way....... |

Commercials? What are those? Just get a Tivo or a DVR (digital video recorder), and you'll NEVER watch commercials again! Unless you want to of course, and maybe during live sports broadcasts.... ;) |

Oh my gosh Lenora, you are hilarious. You know the whole charmin song, :rolleyes: . That coke commercial I hated too, it always gets stuck in my head. I like the commercial for Advantig with the little puppy singing the song, " Hello mother, hello father....' That song always stay stuck in my head as well. lol |

Schatzie's Mom, I do love any commercials with dogs. There are a couple that run now that have adorable little Yorkies on them. And I'm with you guys on the Quizno's commercial. That mutanted thing with the bad teeth was really bizarre. I purposely did not go to Quizno's for that reason...what if their kitchens were full of those, ewwwwwww!! |
I like the commercials for identity theft where they have the old balding man talking about a $1200 leather bustier in a woman's voice. You know what I'm talking about, right? Anyway Cynthia. You crack me up! |
I hate that Charmin one too! Its so disturbing. I like the Giko commercials, especially the one with the couple that just got married and they have to live tiny house!! The first time I saw that one I thought it was really a new reality show!! I was like WHAT! thats crazy! And then the husband said I just money on car insurance by switching to Giko! I just died laughing! Do yall know what Im talking about!?! |
I hate the Brawny commercial where this too masculine of a guy makes cake and spills some icing in the counter and wipes it off. It's too dramatic and obnoxious. They even made a follow-up that I've seen in the movie previews. UGH! |
We sing commercials - Chanel knows all the good ones - and we do the Advantage Flea Commercial with the little white singing Lab puppy... Hello mother Hello Father Fleas Ticks Mosquitos Really Bother ! We LOVE the part where he sings.... At least with the animated ones you have control, even though the content is sometimes ridiculous ... the ones with live things are a real experience! The ones we especially hate are "locals" who are totally convinced that they have everything it takes to appear on camera!! :) This is not true in most cases, however, since they are the ones paying you have no choice and there's usually no tactful way to tell a client that they look/sound like an idiot! You especially can't tell them that their children/grandchildren are not the most photogenic kids alive nor can you understand them if [God forbid] they insist you allow them to speak on camera!! :rolleyes: I agree about those Charmin commercials and that baby is a little odd! The dog commercials are our absolute faves!! Especially since we are beginning to see more and more Yorkies in them! :thumbup: |
