Omgosh! Omgosh! I knew YT prayers were powerful!

I just got a phone call - completely out of the blue - from my ex (the one who never pays child support) and he just informed me that money is going to be taken out of his check every week and mailed directly to me!!!!

I am not sure when it is supposed to start. He called to double check and make sure he had the address correct.

I just can't believe it, and I'm not sure I completely will until I actually get the first check.

I was just so shocked that he just called out of the blue and told me.

I hope and pray that it is true and that it will start some time in December because that would help out so much with bills and Christmas!

I'm so happy for you to hear that. I know what a battle you've been through from the odd mention in posts on here and with your thread the other day I really hope that they start soon so you can get things back on track! :D

Well, I turned him in for failure to pay. I figured they called/contacted him and he got scared and figured he'd better step up and do something before he ended up in jail.

The story he told me is that he has a permanent job now and he went down to the office and asked them if there was any way to set it up so they take money out of his check and mail it directly to me. They told him yes they just needed to know how much and where to send it to.

Now, I'm pretty positive that isn't the entire truth.

BUT, it isn't like him to call me unless he IS planning on paying.

That's why I want to be really excited and believe I will get money every week, but I'm still worried.

*crossing fingers and praying REALLY hard!*

Oh my gosh, how wonderful for you especially with Christmas. Maybe there is hope for my daughter to eventually get her ex to pay something. I am so happy for you.

You may not have the WHOLE story, but it sounds like you WILL start getting your money. What a lovely holiday present for you! (Guess it's not really a present tho, huh? You're really entitled!)

I am so happy for you! it took me 15 years to finally get child support but it only lasted a year,I wish you better luck than I!

Oh I know. Omgosh it would be soooooo great if it started next week! I could probably cover my butt and not have all those late fees.

If I recall correctly it takes about a month before you get your first check. In my case it did. I would put in a call to child services to see when the first check will come. i have mine direct deposited into my account and I know to the day when it will be in. You can get it quicker that way.

That is so great! Also, do you have toys for tots in your area? I know when my kids were smaller I did that once and they got some really nice gifts!

thats great news ,he finally stepped up .now you dont have to worry anymore about buying christmas gifts.the money will be there for you and your kids.

MORE good news!!!!

My mom and Ga-Ga (my grandmother) got together and are giving me enough money to cover everything! That's what they are giving me for Christmas.

I am SO RELIEVED! It is the best Christmas present!
