you have a few options now you have to find a method that works for you. not everyone reacts the same to meds. good luck:) |

Well, I was on Yasmine for years and loved it. But now that my DH and I both have turned 40 we have decided that we are too old to have any more kids.....so my DH got himself "fixed"!!!!!!! Yipeeee for me ....no more birth control pills!!!!!!!! |
I'm 24 so I wouldn't absolute mind having kids at this point... of course I'd like to be married first. I haven't done anything in a few months that would be risking it, but it does happen occassionally (ex's bootycalls). I try to avoid days when I am most fertile. |
I can only tell you my experience it may vary with each person. I had it inserted and it was uncomfortable, not painful. I was told to take it easy and rest for the rest of the day....with 3 kids very unlikely lol. hubby did try to get me to stay in bed but it didnt work lol. I was up and about the same day. I had minor cramps nothing to bad. the days that followed went just as smooth. My first cycle after I had it inserted was heavier and I did have worse cramps nothing Tylenol couldnt fix. I have had it for 3 years and I 99% of the time I forget its there. I have no side effects like those you get on the pill, shot etc. There are risk certain risk as with any birth control. I got a tubal the summer before last and I am very happy. befor that I was on orthonova. Also Yasmine |
im on tri-sprintec(its ortho-tri-cyclen-lo..generic)-same thing just dont have to pay full price for it;) i have been on that one from the beginning(about 3 years now..i was on a different brand for a couple months(cuz i switched pharmacies/drs. for a little while..and i didnt like the one i was on as much(i forget the name, sorry) but it too was just another generic -brand for the ortho-tri-cyclen-lo..but like i said didnt like it as much, at all. i would highly recommend tri-cyclen-lo(or tri-sprintec) but like the others said..it just depends on the person-and the dosage, etc.;) dont give up if the first one you try doesnt work for you..it doesnt mean they all wont!!:) |
I'm not on any. The problem is i hate taking pills, i forget so there would be no point. And i used to be on the patch which was perfect for me, so easy but then all that started coming out that they're dangerous. I really wanna try Yasmin but yea for now im not on anything |

I was on Depo too but like alot of people on here have said, it does make you gain weight but drops off as soon as you come off it! On the upside though it did stop my monthly bleeds and cronic pains. I had to come off it though and was put on oral contraception... less just says it's less efficient... I'm 33wks pregnant! :D |
