A THANK YOU To YT from V
 

Hey all - it's been a few weeks now since I posted and I want to do a thread to say thank you again to the members of this site and my friends thru the yorkie world in general - (some may read here but don't post)

You all were just awesome when my husband died...I really fell apart and there were so many of you there to help pick up the pieces and I thank you for that..... The phone calls - the cards and to those who did more ....I'll never forget it as long as I live.

It's been the worst time of my life and for a while there I didn't think I'd get thru it ....There are so many people that I want to thank personally but please know this includes YOU and you know who you are.

Little by little I'm getting myself back to who I was before he died. I miss him way more than I can say :( but know he's in a better place) and now I have to get 'me' to a better place and I'm trying.

I have a new appreciation for anyone dealing with severe depression or a loss of a loved one now. We hear about it all the time but until you actually go thru it I don't think we really ever know how totally consuming it can be to hurt so bad. There's been many days I just wanted to curl up with the girls and hide from the world - but it really is thanks to my good friends both here and in my 'real' life that I've been able to function,

SO - THANK YOU ALL AGAIN. Yorkie people really are the best.

Vee, it's good to hear from you! I've often wondered how you were doing. I know that you're blessed to have your girls with you to give you comfort. We sure do miss having you around. Hugs to you!!!

It's good to be here. I don't want to keep repeating myself but I really have missed you all. After all these years posting on yorkie sites (almost 4 of them lol) I feel like a part of me is missing when I can't get on here everyday to say hi but you're all in my heart.

I hope you know that you are thought about every day...sometimes when I go back and look at old threads and see your post I worry about you. Depressoin is so very difficult to deal with and put that on top of grieving and its insurmountable. Time is the only thing that can heal and I can see in this thread that you have a glimmer that wasnt there before...I look forward to seeing you back full time hehe..but until then please know you are in my thoughts all the time..

you guys are the best - thank you. You have no idea how much your replies mean to me - I have so many great memories here and had so much support that if I keep posting about it I'll sound like a big mush :) but that's ok - being 'Hokey' works for me !

lots of love and thanks again....I'll be back and maybe my Next thread will be great news....once I get the job situation stabilized then I'll be moving and hope to find a safe place for the girls and I... but apartment living SCARES me - especially in Houston. This is the 1st time I wish I lived in a small town lol -

It is soooo good to see you back on. I think and pray for you often. It must be so hard...but we all know how strong you are. I kinda had no clue what you were going through til I lost my dad on 9-25, now I feel like curling up and dying....I have never felt such pain. My mom is in same position as you...it is horrible all the way around. Stay in touch and we all love you and are praying for you and your girlies!!!

You are SO right - I really had no idea what people go thru with depression issues - it's really given me a big appreciation for those who have it under control. I've never in my life been on medication but it's really helped in some ways - been a hinderence in other ways. Hopefully I won't need it soon and can get back to my old self.

The prayers and support have been so outstanding - you all have been a huge help...I really don't know how I'd have made it thru the 1st few months without you - each pm or phone call touched me in ways I can't put into words.

It's funny - every once in a while I used to think the single life was something to envy - I SO Don't feel like that anymore - it's lonely being alone

so all you married ladies out there - go give your husband a big smack on the lips - We all have trials in our married life but all in all - being part of a 'couple' is special so treasure your time together. That goes for really good boyfriends too lol - :D
