Wii's are sold out again this year!!!!???!!!!! My friend just called to say she has been everywhere looking for a Wii and no one has them....AGAIN this year!!!! I just called several places for her....and had no luck!!!! I waited hours & hours last year at Christmas at different stores hoping to get one. Then finally I hit one store just as they got their shipment in. Needless to say, my son was very happy Christmas morning!!! Has anyone seen the Wii's when you have been out shopping? |
if YALL HAVE A FYI or could be fye lol something like that IN YOUR MALL OR ANYWHERE AROUND YOU TRY THERE! they have been selling out all year! stores get shipments and they are gone within 2 hours. |
really? There were 4 the other day when I was in walmart, and I know the boy bought 2 so as far as I know there were 2 left |
my mom just bought one today she has been waitinhg for months and could never find one but she got it at walmart. |
Same over here in England too! :eek: In fact I bought one about 6months ago and sold it a few weeks ago with extended warrenty and stuff... would you believe that the week I was trying to buy a Wii I really struggled to find a store that had one in stock but they ALL had stock of the PS3 and it was the PS3's release week!!!! Go figure! |
Wiis are hard. I have a guy friend who is a manager at radio shack, he lets me know whenever he gets in a shipment.. other than that I have heard through a lot of my friends that Walmart is the place to get it, they get in the most shipments. Funny thing is, when they get a shipment they only get like 4 of them. I don't understand why they don't get, like, 100 or something! |
Who knows, I know that someone said that the company thats making them isn't making a lot of them, just enough to distribute around, I guess they are wanting to make them more popular.. who knows. |

So excited! Ya'll are getting me a Wii for Christmas?!?!?! That is so sweet! Really though, you don't have to go through all that trouble. I'll be just as happy with a new car! :p Seriously though, the only place I have seen them has been at Wal-Mart. Maybe she could order one off line if someplace had them in stock? |

FYE (For Your Entertainment) is a great store!! Love it! We aren't big "gamers" here....so we never even look at things like that. My daughter has a Nintendo DS with lots of educational games and fun games, but it doesn't get played often. |

FYE is an actual store, but they are way to overpriced. A normal CD you could get at Target for $13.99 is like $23.99 there. No joke. But back to the Wii shortage. I too have seen a lot of stores around me selling out and fast. But if you are really desperate to get one and not pay way to much, hit me up. I got a buddy in the UK who works for a Nintendo manufacturer and he should be able to get one fairly cheap. I would just have to stroke his ego a bit and tell him how is way cooler than me and has the most amazing hair ever (he is worse than a woman when it comes to his hair). |
Last year our boy's wanted one for Christmas and we were not able to get it till April! My husband is friends with a Manager of Toy's R Us and he told him to talk to him next time because they will let the employs set aside a few when they get a shipment. So now we are able to get the sought after games and gears and not get a rain check! |
Sounds like everyone is having problems!!! (but a few of you have some connections) I went to Target this afternoon they told me that all Target stores get their shipments on Saturday nights and it is best to come to Target on Sunday mornings. Like I said earlier, I sat at Gamestop last year for hours waiting on the UPS man. (the manager told us there is NO guarantee I am getting any Wii's today) but I waited anyway. I was 3rd person in line ....there was about 30 people behind me. When the UPS man got there ...he had 6 Wii's. Everyone that did not get one was really pissed off. I have a feeling it is going to be as bad this year as it was last year. So if you see one you had better grab it. |
The best way to get a Wii is to check all of your local stores, and see if they get shipments in the same day every week, and then be at the store when it opens the next day. Angiedoogles and I looked forever to find one (and this was right before summer), and they were still sold out. Once you get your Wii however, I highly recommend Guitar Hero 3. I love it!! Also, if you need a second wiimote, buy the wiiplay game, because it comes with a wiimote, and is only 10 dollars more than the wiimote itself. Hope this helps! |

My DS (12) wanted a WII last year for christmas. We told him how they were to hard to come by. I pointed out everything we saw in the paper and online about how hard they were to get. I really didn't want him to have his heart set one it. Santa is good...but even he (she) can't get everything!;) We ended up finding a web site, that kept track of all the online stores and posted when WII's were available. My DH actually purchased one online, a few weeks before Christmas. Boy, was my son surprised!! |
I sold one on here a while ago.. we just never played it so it was collecting dust :( I didn't realize they were so hard to get! We got one the first day we tried.. |
They always have 3 or 4 at our Walmart. Same for Game stop. I guess its just the area you live in. They're easy find around here. |
