what about wearing fake nails for awhile? I also use to bite my nails when I was younger, but when I got pregnant and took my prenatel vitamins, they grew so fast that I kept them out of my mouth.

I think everyone has gone through a nail biting phase! I read in several magazines if your nails look pretty (painting them) then you are less likely to bite them. I think they make nail polishes that are clear and taste bitter if you bite your nails. Well my suggestion would be get them done ... maybe you'll be less likely to bite them if they're pretty AND you paid for it? Hope this helps!!

I've thought about hypnosis too! I think it can work. A friend of mine did it to stop eating junk and it worked and she lost weight! So i think it can work to stop biting my nails!

I can't even get mine done, they're that short. There's like nothing to paint lol

I have done that and they do grow but when i take off the nails they look so ugly and weak that i end up biting them anyway. I had them grow really long one time but then one broke and i wanted to even them out so by mistake i bit them all off again:rolleyes:

I bite my nails. They have actually figured out that biting nails is a condition seriously!

I finally stopped biting my nails by keeping a bandaid on one at a time.

Put the bandaid on and keep it on (you can change it lol) till the fingernail grows out. Then go on to the next one. Since you have a fingernail there, you will be less inclined to bite it and you have other nails to bite instead. It helps you break the habit gradually.
