My last job, I worked at a chemical plant and loved every aspect of it except the 3 women that I worked with at different time intervals. They were rude, catty and psycho! I even had one woman steal my work which was locked in a desk and she was the only other person that had a key. A week later, the work showed back up in the exact same spot where I had left it. Pissed me off because I had already retyped everything. I have work in a hair salon, too. The women there were horrendous. This is why I don't have very many female friends. Aquaintaces, sure, but not friends. I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. My best friend also deals with this where she works (hospital). I've just never worked with a bunch of women and with the being women civilized. |
I did find I love working with men. My last job I was admin to a Production Engineering group. ALL MEN (50 of them)! They were great, they appreciated everything I did, I really had my own job, helped out the GM and the VP, showed the guys how to operate the copy machine, phones, computers, how to sort excel - all of this was 'just a favor' to them. It was not my job, but I loved to help them out. I could do my job with my eyes closed. Before that I managed a Nurse Staffing Service. All women. I was so burned out by the time I quit (without having a job), after 7 years. I loved my nurses, but the office people drove me absolutely batty! Nothing made anybody happy. Give me the guys - anytime. Oh, and one of my guys was told he was too happy. I told him it was ok. then one day, he told me the VP was unfriendly. I reminded him - everyone is different, he is just busy and not a talker. Say Hi!, he will say Hi. They were both great guys. |
