Malibu fires destroyed my whole neighborhood
 
Oh my gosh, my whole house and neighborhood was destryoed by the fires! We were evacuated a few days ago and I'm now in Oregon staying with my college friend. We got all the pets out and kids. Savannah had to go to the vet two days ago and is still there, she inhaled too much smoke and is in critical condition, Cody is fine (thank God!) So is Bella, I was so worried about her and the unborn babies, but I had all three of them checked out and they are all fine except Savannah, I'm really upset about her. The vet says since she is so young she won't make it probably. All this on top of losing my house, it sucks right now.

Im so sorry for your loss as well as everyone affected by the fires. I will keep Savanah in my prayers. Im just so saddened by all this. Poor Baby. Were you in the house when it was on fire?

No, but it all so smokey while we were trying to leave, we actually saw my neighbor's house burn to the ground, it was all very upsetting. The way they were evacuating us, it took a long time, the dogs were really freaked out. Savannah could hardly breathe, I'm going to call the vet and see how she's doing as soon as it opens. I don't have the heart to see her, I'll get all worked up and start crying hysterically.

I am so sorry about Savannah, I worried about these little guys of all breeds and this terrible air quality. So sorry you had to lose your home, this all has to be so heart breaking. You, Savannah and your family are in my prayers.

The fires have been going on since last Sunday. I knew about them since Tuesday, they gave us until Thursday to get out and I got out on Wednesday. My house is completely destroyed and gone. I got out on Wednesday because I had to pack a few things like money so we could get to Oregon and the pet food and Tylenol stuff like that.

Wow! You evacuated and the items you decided you couldn't live without....were pet food and tylenol??????

Btw, I know for a fact...you are not given DAYS to evacuate...it's minutes.

I'll pray for you....because you certainly need them.

We informed you on Sunday about the Malibu fires...what do you mean you didnt know about them until Tuesday..heck I live in Ontario Canada and that was the main story on every news stations and online news station...

1+1= 3??? Nope something just dosent add up here..

So sorry to hear about Savannah. Wow, your whole neighborhood was destroyed? You must be one of the very unlucky ones since only 6 houses were destroyed in Malibu. You must live in a really small neighborhood

Where in Oregon are you at.


Living close to the fires and watching the news very closely, I do know that Malibu was evaucated on day 1. People living there were only given minutes to get out....You must have been far enough out not to be affected so quickly?

If you got out so early, how did Savannah inhale so much smoke and how did you see your neighbor's house burn to the ground? :confused: At least you saved the Tylenol.
