| Hooty, the amazing flying, blind Yorkie I have posted a video of Hooty, one of my foster dogs, here: Hooty, the blind flying dog - YouTube Hooty has some kind of vision impairment, but I don't know what kind. I thought maybe someone else on the forums might have some experience with vision loss. Hooty gets around fine and seems to have some vision (maybe he just sees shadows), but he doesn't seem to see me when I am standing right in front of him. If you notice in the video, I am standing about 6 feet from him, but he looks around and then sniffs the air to find me. If you didn't see him bump into things occasionally, you would think he is a normal dog, especially when you see him fly through the air! I have noticed that he has a red cast to his eyes, too. He will be going to the vet next week, so maybe we will get some answers then. |

| That's awesome! I watched a couple of your other videos too. So cute! Are you involved in rescue? I loved the treadmill videos and the one of Peeps getting excited. Hilarious!

| I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. I am a foster mom for Rescue Me, Yorkie Rescue. I have fostered almost 150 Yorkies so far. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | He's so cute. My Nikki who is a very senior dog who lost all vision about 4 months ago due to age and cataracts. When I first got him he had vision in one eye and got around pretty well in a well lit room. Then 4 months ago he lost all vision and also has major hearing loss. He cannot tell where sounds/voices are coming from. He still gets off the bed by using the ramp and gets to the pee pads but gets lost trying to find his way back. I just bought a sling to carry him around in when I'm busy in the house because he gets nervous when I'm not around him. The vet thinks he will adjust. I hope you can find out what is causing Hooty's vision loss.

| As well as fostering, I have 5 rescue Yorkies of my own. One of them is blind and brain-damaged. She gets around pretty well, and it's amazing to me how well they adapt. |

| I loved his Video. I saw him on your Rescue web site the other and thought he was just adorable. There are several I have seen thru the years, I would have loved to have adopted, but you all don't adopt to people where I live. All but 3 of my yorkies have been adopted.
