Max Digs a 1' Hole in the Backyard! (please ignore the mess in the backyard). The first part of the video is my pet bull, Max realizing that Cooper just came outside. TACKLE!!! However, Cooper is not allowed outside yet because he hasn't finished his breakfast, so he gets sent back into the house to finish. Max then continues his dig to China, which he started last week! I could understand if there's Skinneeez or squeaky eggs in there, but he's digging for rocks. Just rocks. When he loses one in the grass, he goes back to his hole to find more. Anyone else have a Yorkie digger? |
Max does nice work! Send him to my house, I need some holes dug for shrubs. :p Neither of my guys are diggers. No need to dig when the chocolate bunny eggs are right on the surface. That is one of the reasons my boys aren't allowed in the backyard anymore. Max and Cooper's haircuts turned out so nice. I can see the effect of the hair thinning on Coop, and Max looks so silky. Very handsome! |
OMG when I first read your post before I watch the video this is how I read it.... The first part of the video is my pet bull, Max. I was thinking she has a pet bull. LOL No diggers here. Max just wants all the rocks. That is funny. |
He is definitely digging to China! What a mighty terrier he is. :) Jackson likes to dig but usually only at the dog park. He on occasion will dig in our yard. But I dunno what it is about dog park dirt, he just looovesss to dig it up!! |
Oh yeah, he is so busy and loving it too.;) No yard digging for Zhoie...she only digs on my nightie looking for you kong ball (that she drops there) :D ...silly girl. How nice their hair cuts turned out. |
Thanks everyone. I call Max a bull because whenever he sees Cooper anytime after sleeping he gets so excited and barrels into him. Max has dug many holes in the backyard and it's always to get the treasured rocks. Cooper's hair is still way too long. Not sure exactly why the groomer decided upon herself to keep it long. At least the mats are out. |
Max and Cooper are so adorable. I thought at first you meant pitbull  He really is quite the digger! I've caught Trixie digging big holes in our yard too.....and I don't think she is looking for anything?? |
Mine dig and dig and dig....at the fence line all over the dog run. Looking for the bunnys who live under our shed. We have filled and filled and filled them in and planted grass seed and then a week after we take the fence down... here we go again. Oh well.... it's a lose couse! |

That was cute. They both look so nice. I have a digger, but she'll only dig where there is soft dirt around a plant. Not much of that for her to get into.;) |

I bet it's not the clay but the fact they don't want dirt on their paws:) Max doesn't care. In fact he's so tough that we are dealing with really dry/cracked paws now. He's had this issue since we brought him home. |
so cute hehe :D totoro's started "trying" to dig outside too but the snow hasnt completely melted so well see what hell do when the grass is out |
Will he dig with boots on? Good product for horses for dry skin: Hoof Saver (really nice for people hands or rough spots too) found at any local tack shop... |

I apply Bag Balm on his pads and then I put socks on him. It really doesn't seem to help too much. He also really enjoys licking the Bag Balm, so it defeats the purpose. He's not bothered at all by his dry paws. |

I know some with big diggers use a sand-filled kiddie pool with some holes for rain-drainage and hide toys in the sand and let thier dogs dig for toys and chewies and for some reason they seem to prefer the sand-digging to the yard. You guy is quite the worker!!! |

It is.... I dog proofed it time and time again. There has to be at least three dif. Types of edging at the bottom of the fences covering up the holes it looks very tacky... I thing I will remove it all and start fresh so that is all matches. I guess it's just the perfectionist in me.. |

My boy does not dig - he really prefers to be indoors whenever possible. He cleans the grass off of himself when he comes inside, too. It's great finding all that junk ... on the couch... in my bed... you know, the best places ;) My girl, on the other hand, is a bird and squirrel chaser. She is always rolling around outside and she digs these little holes, only a few inches deep, in random places. I call her my ditzy dog. I don't think she can focus long enough to dig like your Max! :animal37 Vada :yorkiej: Bodie |
Tibbe doesn't dig but he loves to wallow around in the grass. It is his secret pleasure!!! This time when the yard was done for the first time this year and the grass mulched, he came in absolutely covered in tiny pieces of grass! Tibbe loves to dig on couch and chair pillows and hides his toys and chew bones down beside the pillows - but not for long. He will dig them right out and re-hide them. |
Jersey and Brielle do not dig holes they just dig in the grass for rabbit and deer poop:eek: Max has grown very nicely into his legs:) |
Cooper rolls around in the grass. I think he tries to take his palm tree top knot out. He's not a digger except when he's trying to get comfy in a plush chair. I've seen him dig twice to bury a Himilayan bone. But Max - he's a terrier on a mission. |

You have a bull...and I have cows! My g:aimeeyorkrls could graze on my sod all day if I would allow it!:D Once they have consumed the sod to the soil...they actually nibble on that, too! When I try and shoo them away...those bad little bab:aimeeyorkes have to try to nibble just one more little morsel...grrr! I get even tho...they absolutely detest the baby wipe that always awaits their dirty lil' beards...lol! Pheeb's will also "charge" whoever is tardy after they've been repeatedly called into the house...guess she's a bull, too.:p |

Wow, you definitely have an experienced digger! Neither of my two dig, but they love to scratch like crazies after they take a poo. I think they like to show off or something :p |
Karen, they look so cute. Tell Max he can come to our house and till up the garden for us. LOL |
